Hello Adele, my name is Renae Jones. My mother is Donna Jean Apperson, her father was Don Carpenter Apperson Sr., and his father was Avon Apperson. I have been doing extensive research on this line and have a tree on here although it is titled "Miller Family Tree" as my father was a Miller. Dixie Lee is the person that Miriam referred to in her reply to you. Dixie was my mother's sister but she passed away in 2009. Dixie knew I was researching the line as well, and had all of her other sister Deanna send me all of her work that she had compiled over the last 30+ years. How do you fit into this line? I will be happy to share any information I have. I look forward to hearing from you if you are still on here.

Hello,

I am interested in hearing from anyone who knows of any EDMONDSTON/EDONDSON/EDMUNSTON/EDMUNSON etc who was a CABINET MAKER from Coleraine in Northern Ireland.

This request stems from a family legend, that one branch of the family came from coleraine to work for GILLOWS OF LANCASTER, the famous cabinet makers.

I believe his daughter Mary (Jane) Edmondston was born around 1821 and married an Edward HUSTON. They lived for the rest of their lives in Liverpool.

Any information would be great.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi, I was wondering if the Rose Ellen Edmond that married George White might be related somehow. I have no dates, but I do have their children, and I know that George died very young, and her name may have been Kathryn Rose Ellen Edmond. She was probably from Illinois, and I believe the grandfathers name was Henry Albaugh. I have hit a dead end on all of these names.
George and Rose Ellens children:
Alfred, Stella Amanda Kennedy, Nova Gertrude Treese,
Lola Emma Holt, Daisy Delta White, Rose Ruth White, William Robert. As I was growing up, these were some of my most special relatives. I am at this time trying to contact relatives that live away who might be of help to me. I hope that someone can give me a hint. I have had very good help with the rest of my family tree, but this is not going very well. Thanks for anything. Please note my e-mail address granslogan@hotmail.com

Hello Adele,

I'm not sure how much information I could give you, I am not really into geneology, but Avon Apperson and Virginia Alice Edmond were my grandparents. They had 13 children, one of whom was my father, Don Carpenter Apperson, Sr. They lived in West Virginia, in Buckhannon. My sister is the family historian, and has collected quite a bit of information over many years. Unfortunately, I have not seen her in quite a while. We are having a family reunion this July though, and she may be there - if she is I can ask if she is willing to contact you to discuss the family history. I know there are links to Elmer and Edgar Landon Apperson, who built the Apperson Jackrabbit in 1900's....I believe there are also some links to Appersons in the Virginia area of Orange County, but I'm not sure on that one. If you would like to e-mail back on this, I can give you any other information I have that you would like (names of my father's brothers and sisters, my father's children - whatever you would like).

Hi Jennifer -

Alexander born 1700 was Margaret EDMOND and Alexander AIRTH's son.

But, Henry, Violet, Adam and Geills were Alexander's (b 1700) children from his 1st marriage to Anna GILCHRIST. Anna died between 1727 and 1730.

His 2nd marriage was to Jean LIVINGSTONE and he had a further 3 children: Janet, Amelia and Christian.

Since Alexander and Margaret's 1st child was born 1690, they were likely married abt 1687-1689 and since their children were all baptised in South Leith, Midlothian, and I was able to find a Margaret EDMOND bapt Jul 17 1662 in South Leith, d/o James EDMOND and Jean CUTHBERTSON.

She was one of 3 children that I was able to find: Helen bap Aug 2 1659, Margaret, Anna bap Apr 6 1665.
Parents James and Jean were married Jul 14 1658 in Lasswade Leith Midlothian.

James EDMOND was bapt Jun 15 1620 in South Leith and Jean CUTHBERTSON was bap May 23 1630 in Mid Calder, Midlothian to father George who was bapt Mar 29 1603 in South Leith.

None of the stuff from Alexander and Margaret and beyond is verified yet against any records other than IGI right now but I have added them temporarily to my database and will most certainly removed them if they are ever disproved .....

Good luck on your finding our ancestry right back to the AIRTHs of Airth Castle ~ that's quite an undertaking!!

Dallas

The closest Alexander AIRTH I was able to find age-wise was bapt May 28 1657 in Arbilot, Angus and I have no idea how close that is to South Leith .....

Dallas

Re: Thomas Edmond

Dear Iris:
I have some information about Mary Malcolm and Thomas Edmond - 1st, Mary Malcolm. I have no birth or death info about her. According to Pendleton County, VA records, she married 1st- James Curry on 5 Nov 1823, 2nd- Thomas Edmond on 25 July 1833, and 3rd- William J Wilson on 16 Feb 1837. While married to Thomas Edmond, she had two children: Dorothy "Dolly" Edmond, born 14 Apr 1834, date of death unknown and Rachel Jane Edmond, born 12 Nov 1835, died 24 Nov 1916 in Ritchie County, WV. Rachel was born in November after her father died in May 1835. He talked about an unborn child in his will which I can provide a copy of, if you wish.
Dorothy married John Milton Hook in Highland County, VA on 12 Dec 1850. John was born 16 July 1829 in Pendleton County, VA and died on 28 Aug 1902 in Highland County, VA and is buried on the Hook family farm in Highland County. He was the son of Robert S and Polly Hook who were good friends and close neighbors of Thomas and Polly Rife [his 1st wife]. Dorothy is presumed to be buried on the Hook farm in an unmarked grave. Dorothy and John Milton had the following children [all born in Highland County, VA]: Mary J Hook, born 1852; Samantha A Hook, born 1853; Rachel Virginia Hook, born 16 July 1855; Thomas L Hook, born 30 Mar 1857; Andrew Jackson Hook, born 1862; Rebecca E Hook, 14 July 1866; John B Hook, Apr 1870; Lillian V Hook, born 1878; and George W Hook, born 25 Apr 1880. I have more information about Thomas Edmond that I am willing to share. If this is your family, can you help me fill in some the details about Dorothy's descendants?
Clare Edman
cdedman8085@sbcglobal.net

I am looking for the parents of Edmond Williamson, born c.1810 who is listed in the Moore County, NC censuses of 1850 and 1860. He was the father of Jesse, Isaac, Hiram and Kelly williamson. He was a gunsmith.
