The first frank I have encountered is the son of George and Martha (Mattie) Edwards born around 1900. George's father's name was Isiah, he had another son, brother to Frank, named Isiah, and he also had a brother with the same name. You'll find them in Cedarville, Hale, AL on the census. Not sure if these are yours, also found similar names in Coosa, AL.

I do not know if we are related in any way but I saw your query and would like to know if you could tell me anything about the Susanna Edwards that you have listed as a child in Garrard Edwards will. My gg-grandmother was a Susanna Edwards but I have not been able to locate any records on her. According to the Alabama Census, my Susanna was born about 1816 in SC but then in a census taken after that showed AL. Also, I am interested in the information on Benjamin. My grandfather Lee spoke of a Bennie and would like to know if there is a connection there. It was my understanding that grandpa was talking about a Bennie Lee but one has not been found. The time frame that you used as Mr. Edwards and Ms. Richards marriage date, could very well be the family I have been looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. James Edwards Stones AKA Edward James or James Edwards

James Edward Stones b 1878 Brimington, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England son of Samuel Stones b1853 and Susan Elizabeth Hibbert b1853 enlisted in the Btitish Army Royal Artillery 2nd March 1898, following postings to Guernsey 15/03/1998 and Bermuda 18/12/1998 he was posted to Haliifax Nova Scotia, Canada arriving on 16/10/1899.
He deserted on 27/07/1901 being declared a deserter, there is no further information on his army records sudsequent to this event.
From family recollections of his relatives in England following James Edward's death his wife had found papers relating to his previous life in England. It is thought that he was AKA Edward James or James Edward in Canada following his desertion
Anyone able to help and assist or provide further clues would be greatly appreciated

Kent, WA is between Tacoma and Seattle...and would be in King county (Tacoma is in Pierce county)...I used to live in Pierce County.

Not sure I've been told he was born 1905 and 1911 when he married lorain in 1930 his residents was listed Kent Washington and that he died in 1976 in Belfast,Maine on my grandfathers birth record it has his fathers name as William T.H.Edwards any held would be very helpfull thanks

Joseph Edwards b 1893. Railway Shunter. Cudworth. Yorkshire.

I have Joseph Edwards born 1893 and marrying Dorothy Waltho in 1924, St Albans. Hertfordshire. They then moved to Cudworth near Barnsley in Yorkshire and had three children born and baptised with the Edwards name. After that the children went about their lives and later married (in the 1950's) as Rogers and the whole family was known by that name. In fact Joseph Rogers death certificate said Joseph Rogers otherwise Joseph Edwards and there is a mirror death certificate with the names reversed.

Joseph Edwards/Rogers was employed by Midland Railway and I think the record that I have spotted in 1922 was Joseph Rogers as a new employee, a railway shunter and on his marriage he says he's already living in Cudworth.

I have the children's birth cerificates as well as their baptisms. I have the death certificates of Joseph and Dorothy and I have their marriage certificate on which Joseph Edwards says his father is also Joseph Edwards, domestic gardener, deceased.

Who is Joseph Edwards and what name did he grow up with? Why the name change?

I have tried other resources without any success so anyone pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

My Edwards family are from Bosherston I have James born 1767. Previously they lived in the next village Castle Martin James's father was Phineas Edwards 1740. The family home in Bosherston was "Castle Tank", now demolished, which was quite close to St Govans Chapel. I was there in April the lady that keeps the village cafe is in her 90's and she remembers the building as it was tied to her fathers farm.

Edwards Family of Richland Parish, LA

I am looking for information on the ancestors and siblings of Beatrice Edwards b. 1920 in Richland Parish, LA. Her parents were Harry and Elizabeth Edwards, and in addition to Beatrice, they were the parents of Booker T, Solomon, Dock, Harry, Harvey, May Ida, Henrietta, Adaline, Edith, Justus and Frank. I believe that Elizabeth's maiden name was Williams.

Harry Sr. was born sometime around 1868 in either Franklin or Richland Parish, LA. Harry's Parents were James and Emily (Emely) Edwards. James Edwards was born around 1830, likely in Alabama. The other known children of James and Emily Edwards are Celia, Edy, Lyemen,George and Willie. In the 1880 census (Richland Parish), there is nephew living with them named Jarard (Gerard? Jared?) Watson, born in Alabama around 1860.

In the 1870 census James Edwards was living in the same district as Emily Edwards but not in the residence she shared with Harry Edwards, Celia Edwards and Zelia Sprewell (Spruell?)
Past that point I have hit the brick wall of the Civil War and can find nothing more about them or their origins. Any additional information is greatly appreciated.

I've added my query on to the end of your posting,as your query is the latest.I am really hoping that someone is able to help me with what happened to Ada S.Edwards,or Sarah Ada Edwards,daughter of Joseph (Charles) Edwards who was a corkcutter.The family lived at 31 Coutts Rd Limehouse Tower Hamlets.

Sarah married a John James Johnson at St Anne's Limehouse in 1902.An Arthur Tom Edwards(publican??) was a witness to the marriage.

Pat,if you or any of the other ''London Edwards'' researchers come across any
knowledge of this Edwards lady,I would be extremely grateful, as I sense one of those mysteries developing.It is hard to explain ''that '' feeling of something sad happening to Sarah.

Hi, Just read your post. I've married an EDWARDS family but not yours that I'm aware of yet. As I live in Hobart and go to the archives is there some information you need looking up? I'll start with the birth for you and work from there. Do you have an idea when Ralph left Hobart? My husbands EDWARDS also moved to Victoria. Let me know if I can help.

I am looking for a Bertrem, Bertrum, Bertram, known "Eddy Edwards" Born round 1922/26, in England. I believe his family was entertainer's. He was drafted into the Royal Navy. His mother and father owned a boarding house in Maidenhead, England. It is thought he had a brother and sister but over the years these memories fade. I am unsure if he ever came back from the war. If anyone remembers him as a family member, Please get in touch!!

I'm still curious about Henry and Susan's kids. Whatever happened to Reta?
The 1910 census says that Susan gave birth to 5 children and that 3 are living. I think that she gave birth to twins in January of 1871- one died at birth and one died a few months later. I'm confused about Grant and Burton- are they the same person? The 1870 census shows Grant being born in April of that year, but does not list Burton who was supposed to be born in 1868. But Grant never shows up again, so was he actually Burton?
