Looking for the lineage of Elizabeth Hefford born 1805-1884 in New Harbor. She married William Thorne (1802-1879). Their daughter Anne b. 1857 was my gggrandmother who married Stephen Butt.

The name that I know is Hefford who came from The Scilley Islands & settled in Trinty Bay, Nfld. There are many Hefford families there, all descendants of the first William Hefford of Scilley Cove, Nfld
