I hope all the great help is still around that may have information about Anna Charlotta Lindstrom:

At first I suspected that your Anna Charlotta Lindstrom [born 15 Sep 1845 in Rättvik, Kopparbergs län, Dådran, Sweden, and died 18 Feb 1917 in Elk River, Sherburne, Minnesota, United States] was a sister to our children's Great Grandmother, Margaret Lindstrom [listed as *Ersdotter, Margreta -Daughter (unmarried woman) b. 27 Mar 1875 in Ore parish, Kopparberg county , Kopparberg county ] on arrival 1882.

But after noticing the date of birth I realize that perhaps your Anna Charlotta Lindstrom is of one generation back, perhaps a relative of Margaret Lindstrom's father: Erick Lindstrom b:Mar 2 1842 Sweden d:1922 (at age ~80) in Elk River, Sherburne, Minnesota [ listed as: *Ersson, "Bond" Erik -Farmer (married man) b. 02 Mar 1842 in Ore parish, Kopparberg county]

But I cannot figure out the connection....the locations of their death in Elk river Sherburne, Minnesota indicates that they could be part of the same family.

Anyone able to connect Anna Charlotta Lindstrom b: 1845 Sweden to Erick Lindstrom b: 1842 Sweden for me?

Hi sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. My sister has a painting/print of that Kitchen as well. I'm not sure who gave it to her. As for the Palmer/Elds I haven't had much luck there either.

I am researching my husband's family tree. He has Sarah Jane and Jane Elizabeth Palmer in his family tree. His grandfather was Francis Eld Williams.Can you give me any info on the change of name as I am drawing a blank on it?

Thank you for replying. I would be interested in sharing what I have put together for a family tree. I know I had family still living in New Brunswick as late as the 1973 through one uncle of my father. I have not been able to find any information on other aunts/uncles or descendants.
How would you like to proceed?

Hello,
I have just started researching the Eld side of my family. My side lived in NH and I had relatives in MA as well. If you are still researching your tree, please look the connections I have made; if there are any similarities please contact me. I know very little about my grandfather and grandmother, and cannot find any info on any of the relatives that may still be in Canada.
My Uncle Arthur lived in Somerville, MA., and my Uncle Ron in Welsley, MA. I also had an Aunt Irene but cannot find any info on her.

My Mother is Ellen Eleanor Venner (maiden name Eld), died this year, her father was Oscar Waldemer Eld. He arrived at the port of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan on the 1st day of Nov, 1901 on the vessel The Tunisian from Liverpool England.

I believe I have a picture of the Kitchen of 'Seighford' Ranch Alberta. Glad to have the name change clarified I'd been puzzled not to be able to follow that family link. I'm Michael Eld's aunt by the way.

Have you tried searching using the Genline geneology software?
If your ancestry is like mine -my maternal grandfather's surname was "Eld" but my great-grandfather's original surname was Andersson. He acquired the surname of "Eld" when he was in the Swedish Army.
Usually, if you search via the Genline, it will take you back beyond any name changes the ancestors may have made. On the Swedish church records I have for my Eld line, it shows my great-grandfather as Karl Eld-Andersson but once he arrived in America, he dropped the Andersson.
