We come from Spain but went to germany to explore and helped some nobles out and we also went to the filipines but came back to marry Spainards like always our name means "Dwellers of the church" basicly meaning a person who lives by or in the church so yeah we are not from italy .

hello to all. i am from the clan of Isauro Elizalde originally from Manila and migrated to Davao City, as i thought from my Father Leo Elizalde. I am actually confused from where our ELIZALDE came from coz too many in my province who are ELIZALDE's as well and claimed that i am part of them.. all i know is we are connected to Manda Elizalde who came from an very prominent family which i never thought of it till i got into college. well, its good to share here in ancestry, maybe id find the answers from where exactly my grandfather originated and who are those relatives we do not know..

Hi, my name is Danny Elizalde and my grandfather was the late Enrique Bernal Elizalde Sr. married to Encarnacion Marzona from San Jose Antique. Lolo Enrique has a brother who lived in Lapaz Iloilo City the late Col. Manuel B. Elizalde. My father, the late Archt Ismael Marzona Elizalde told me before that we have relatives in Surigao. Perhaps you can ask your parents if they know lolo Enrique. My dad's siblings were the late Diomedes Elizalde, Estela, Elvira, Enrique Jr., Edna and Jose. There are still Elizalde's in San Jose like lolo Manking Elizalde and family.

I am from San Jose Antique Phil and my father is the late Archt Ismael Marzona Elizalde (D 1965) married to Filomena Furio Abellon and my grandpa is the late Enrique Bernal Elizalde Sr.(D 1973?) married to the late Encarnacion Marzona. My papa's siblings were: Diomedes, Estela, Elvira, Enrique Jr., Edna and Jose.

Yes my paternal grandpa is Enrique Bernal Elizalde (Sr.) and I remember that he had a 2nd family in Iloilo city. In fact I met lolo Enrique's 2 daughters in Iloilo city when they attended his last burial rites in San Jose Antique way back in the 1970's when he died. Lolo Enrique was buried in San Jose near my fathers tomb.

Would your grandfather's middle name be Bernal by any chance? Because if so...we may be related because my maternal grandfather was Enrique Bernal Elizalde from San Jose Antique. I spoke to my mother about this thread and she said that your father, his brothers, and his sisters were her half-brothers/sisters from my lolo's first marriage. My name is William-Joseph Basan Elizalde by the way and I'm only half filipino but I do know my lolo was Enrique Bernal Elizalde from San Jose Antique and he lived in Iloilo City which is where I was born in 1989.

Do you have any information on a Sabas Elizalde? My great grandfather Sabas Elizalde was born in Coahuila, Mexico in 1887. Migrated to U.S. in 1902. I was told his father was Filipino. Sabas wife was Josefa Luna from Monterrey, Mexico. I am working on my family tree but can't find any information on my great great grandfather. Any info would be appreciated!

My great grandfather was Sabas Elizalde. I don't know much about him other than there is mention that he was Filipino. His wife's name was Josefa Luna They had several children Rosa, Lucy, Julie, Bernice and Luis.

I remember as a child that my mother received a postcard from her aunt and uncle Dale and Aida (Ada) from Manila.

My mother was born in Harlingen Texas in 1948, to Anita Perez and Juan Elizalde. Her parents divorced when she was very young. Her mother suffered from epilipsy and seizures. Her father was a truck driver. Her mothers brother raised her in California. She hasn't seen her father since the parents seperated when she was around 6 years old. Her mother went to live in assisted living and her father went his on way. My mother married at the age of 18 and moved to Alabama. She now lives in Denton Texas and uses her given name of Anita Elizalde. If you have any information on her father's family relations, that would be helpful. She has no information concerning them. Her mother has been deceased for maybe 15 years now and never had the ability to share with her the information.

I am one of 9 siblings. Our father, Albert Bruno Elizalde came to the United States from Mexico sometime in the 1940's. He was born in Apizaco, Mexico City, Mexico. His parents were Marcos and Maria de Jesus Elizalde.

My name is Danilo Abellon Elizalde from San Jose Antique Philippines. My father is Ismael Marzona Elizalde and my grandfather is Enrique B. Elizalde Sr. of San Jose Antique Philippines. I dont know my great grandfather's name or his origins. I know that there are rich Elizalde's from the Basque of Spain who lived in the Philippines during the Spanish regime until now. There are Filipino Elizalde's living in the Ilocos region, Ilonggo region and Mindanao regions of the Philippines.

But I know my great grand parents during the Spanish times adapted Spanish surnames and I doubt if we have any Spanish roots. My grandfather Enrique has a brother named Col. Manuel B. Elizalde who lived in Lapaz Iloilo City Philippines but I dont know his other brothers or sisters if any. My father Ismael is fair skinned and mestizo looking and has a high bridged nose.

My name is Danilo Abellon Elizalde, eldest son of the late Archt Ismael Marzona Elizalde from San Jose Antique. My dad died in July 1965 in a motor vehicle accident. My paternal grandfather is Enrique B. Elizalde brother of Col. Manuel B. Elizalde of Lapaz Iloilo City. I can not remember the names of lolo Enrique's brothers or sisters but there is a lolo "Manking" Elizalde still living in San Jose at Baybay. My father Mike has brothers - Diomedes, Jose, Enrique Jr.and sisters Estela, Elvira and Edna (all of them passed away). I know the Zaldivar's in San Jose when I was a boy. I left San Jose in 1970 and have been overseas since and now living in Australia.

I dont know if we have Spanish ancestry but my father Mike is fair skinned, mestizo looking with a high bridged nose.

I could still draw a family tree in the near future if time allows so I can email to you a copy for you to trace your ancestry.

I have a grand uncle named Col. Manuel A. Elizalde who lived in Lapaz, Iloilo City Philippines and I last met him in the 1970's when his brother Enrique Elizalde who is my paternal grandfather died and was buried in San Jose Antique Philippines. Col. Manuel Elizalde has I think two daughters. As far as I know my father Ismael Marzona Elizalde has some uncle in Mindanao somewhere in Surigao.
I know our Elizalde surname is adapted from Spanish names but I doubt if we have Spanish ancestry, but my father Ismael is fair skinned and looks mestizo with a high bridged nose.

all the elizalde's are related in some way and somehow..
the elizaldes came from spain.. and when they came to the new world, some dropped off in germany, some in france, and some in mexico.. the ones that took and wrong turn had ended up in the philippines... then were conquered etc etc...
elizalde family used to own a sugar mill there but sold it. and also, there is an acedemy there called elizalde academy...
i believe theres a town called elizalde somewhere in europe too

Hello - I was born the eldest daughter to Don Angel Elizalde Diaz Mareu, during the war. My father's family were a basque family who had emigrated to the Philipines during the late 1800s and were into shipping/sugar/rope (Manila)/rum & a number of other things. My father was one of 5 brothers & 1 sister & he died in 1954 as the result of a accident on a plane. My mother moved us to Spain in 1956 and we grew up there. I am 64 yrs old and live in the North of England with my husband. I have 2 sons, both working in the London area & having lost touch with my fathers family over the last 40 yrs would be interested in re-establishing contacts.
