Thank you. This matches the information I found. My confusion is mostly in the fact that he doesn't appear to be a "wealthy land owner", a decription my family had understood to be true and one which I found in a book detailing her husband's family's geneology.
There was another George W. Elliott in the area at the time who owned a stock farm, but he was from England and significantly older. I also cannot place him with a Frances (or an Isabelle, for that matter).
