I am trying to learn more about my fathers side of the family. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away when my father was only a boy and I don't have much to go on.

I am looking to find out current family's as well as ancestors. Some of this information I have from my late grandmother and records on ancestry seem to verify the majority of it. I have some questions about the birth dates (per census data) as they are a little to close together.


John A. Ellis (went by Jack?)
- Born abt 1872 in either Oklahoma or Texas
- Died 22 Mar 1946
- Buried in Wunder Lawn Cemetery, Chicago

Ada (Jack's wife)
- Born 28 Feb 1878
- Died 1 Jan 1941
- Buried in Wunder Lawn Cemetery, Chicago

Roy Ellis (my Grandfather)
- Born 16 Dec 1917 in New Orleans, Louisiana
- Died 1966 in Chicago, IL (Wunder Lawn Cemetery)

Roy was married twice. First wife name is unknown, I believe the daughter of that marriage is Diana B. My Grandmother is the second wife.
