I'm searching for information about Robert Ellis, who was born in or about 1806 in North Carolina, and moved to Drew County, Arkansas. So far, the best evidence I've found of Robert's birth and subsequent family is from the 1850 census for Drew County, Arkansas:

However, I have not been able to confirm Ann's (Robert's wife) maiden name, or find a record or family tree connection to Robert or Ann on Ancestry, or find anything helpful via general internet search.

Note: Susan Ellis, Robert's daughter, married Michael Godwin in Drew County in 1856. Their son Rufus Nathaniel Godwin (b.1861) was the father of my grandmother, Ozelle Godwin (b.1903).
