Isabell,
Thank-You for answering. The reason I asked is because I was contacted by the author of a book on Rev War soldier's descendants. In regard to Michael Errickson and Elizabeth Reynolds, she said I had the wrong Michael on my World Connect page, "The Errickson Papers".She said- "Michael 1797 wife's name was not Elizabeth Reynolds". She said that Michael 1797 is buried in Perry NY with a different wife.
I have a picture of the Michael Errickson's headstone in Cassville, NJ from Find A Grave site ( actually spelled Michel on stone). This is the Michael believed to have married Elizabeth Reynolds. If you click on the picture to enlarge it,it shows he died in 1849 age 55 yrs 3 mo 23 days. If you subtract that it makes his birth between 1794 and 1795.This would mean the lady might be right, because the other Michael burieb in NY was born in 1797.
I have since put Michael Errickson b. 1797 on Find A Grave and requested a picture of the stone.I'm hoping the stone will shed light on this.
I know our family had at least, ( there may be more) 4 Erricksons who fought in the Rev.They were > Michael d. 1815, John ( my ancestor), Thomas and Erick.I am VERY PROUD of ALL of them! The point is--they are ALL related to us.That is why I'm trying to straighten out the lines.
Our Michael b.1700 produced some very strong stock. As did his son Michael 1730.They helped form this country.
Michael Errickson aka Michel Errickson d.1849

Tombstone is on Find A Grave. Click on the picture to enlarge.
The name on the stone is spelled MICHEL ERRICKSON.
Does anyone know anything about him? Who did he marry? Old Tennent records show he was born 20 April 1795.
I believe I may have discovered a mistake many of us have made.
It may be this Michael who married Elizabeth Reynolds. Not Michael b. 05 May 1797.
The reason I say this is because an Author of a book about Rev. War soldiers has contacted me and states that Michael 1797 is buried in Perry NY with a wife who has a different name.
I would appreciate any info anyone has on this man.
I would also like to know if there is an Elizabeth buried next to Michel Errickson d.1849 in Cassville Cemetery.

I was the daughter of Andrew Errickson and Mabel Anderson
Andrew's parents were Joseph Errickson and Mary Jane (MAMIE) McDowell This Josephs parents were Joseph Errickson
and Susan Ann Stillwell.
They are all buried in the cemetery at Adelphia, NJ. Adelphia is a small, very friendly village located in Howell Twps N.J. At one time in history it was known as BlueBall and prior to that Turkey.
During the revolution ,Daniel Morgen and his famous corps of riflemen were camped there awaiting orders (that never came) to move up and take part in the Battle of Monmouth.
Carol

ERRICKSON ERRORS ON FAMILY SEARCH

I have found errors in regard to my Errickson family on the Latter Day Saints site. While it does state that you should not accept as fact anything that is posted there , it annoyed me that there is no way to have it removed.
The error is : Joseph and Mamie Errickson. It shows a child being born to Joseph and Mary prior to my father, Andrew.I have no idea where this woman got her information.
My father was their first born child.Furthermore, the woman who posted it left out the fact that my Dad had 2 younger sisters.Ida and Margie. All are deceased now or they would be madder than hornets.
I am posting this here in an attempt to help any future searchers of the surname ERRICKSON.
Beware of that ERRICKSON lineage that is posted. It is questionable, and I assume that the submitter is deceased, because my letter came back.
Carol E.
Erickson/Errickson,Larson, Jacobsson

My direct line ancestor Michael Erickson b. Feb 14 1700,son of Hulda Larson and Eric Jacobsson had siblings. They were:1.Michael Ericksson b.July 19,1694 died young.2. Margaret b.Sept. 3,1696 married on July 1 1715 ,Thomas HALL, son of Thomas HALL, a native of Glastonbury , Somersetshire, England, who was a "vapanamed" (armorer)who had settled in Sweden during Charles XII3. Jan b.13 July 1697 d. 11 May 1700.4. Hakan b. 3 march 1699 died young.twin 5. Axel b.2 March 1699 died young twin.6. Michael b. 14 FEB 1700 ,of whom presently.7. Selma b.3 Nov. 1702 died 4 Oct. 17268.Erik born 3 Sept 1708 died 4 Oct 1726.Does anyone know why these last 2 children died on the same date?I think it must have been some sort of tragedy because by 1727 Hulda, Michael and Margaret and Margarets husband, Thomas Hall Jr and their son ,Eric Hall emigrated to England.Hulda died in England but Michael came to America and began our line of Erricksons.Carol

I have just started to explore my family history. My family is from South Jersey (I was born in Vineland). I believe my great grandfather is Edmund Errickson who was born about 1835 and died 4/26/1886. He was married to Hannah Spence. He had four children; Isaac Robinson, Henry H, Edward and Ester. I was wondering if there is any connection to your family.

Thank you for your time.
Bill Errickson
