I am sorry this discussion still continues. My Michael Errickson died Aug. 25 1849. I really think my greatgrand father knew who his grandfather. I will try to get some mor information. There is information at The DAR hear quarters but I do not have axcess to it. Will ask my DAR chapter in Nov. for help. Thank keep in touch. Isabelle583

Michael Errickson who died Aug 13 1849 is buried in Cassville Cemetery,His gravestone is on Find A Grave. He was 55 yrs 3 mo and 23 days.This means he was born in 1794 not 1797.

Her husband was a brother of Aaron Errickson, a Rochester banker who died recently. Of her 7 children, Mrs. Martin Andrews, Perry and Mrs. William Sherman, Castile, survive her. Michael Errickson,born 5-5-1797 and died 8-25-1849 was married to Elizabeth Reynolds 6-10-1815 she was born 6-17-1796 and died 12-13-1867. I am descended from their son William, who married Rachel Bennett. His older brother Charles married Rhoda Bennett sister of Rachael. Thank-You for answering. The reason I asked is because I was contacted by the author of a book on Rev War soldier's descendants.In regard to Michael Errickson and Elizabeth Reynolds, she said I had the wrong Michael on my World Connect page, "The Errickson Papers".She said- "Michael 1797 wife's name was not Elizabeth Reynolds". She said that Michael 1797 is buried in Perry NY with a different wife.
I have a picture of the Michael Errickson's headstone in Cassville, NJ from Find A Grave site ( actually spelled Michel on stone).This is the Michael believed to have married Elizabeth Reynolds. If you click on the picture to enlarge it,it shows he died in 1849 age 55 yrs 3 mo 23 days. If you subtract that it makes his birth between 1794 and 1795.This would mean the lady might be right, because the other Michael burieb in NY was born in 1797.
I have since put Michael Errickson b. 1797 on Find A Grave and requested a picture of the stone.I'm hoping the stone will shed light on this.
I know our family had at least, ( there may be more) 4 Erricksons who fought in the Rev.They were > Michael d. 1815, John ( my ancestor), Thomas and Erick.I am VERY PROUD of ALL of them! The point is--they are ALL related to us.That is why I'm trying to straighten out the lines.
Our Michael b.1700 produced some very strong stock. As did his son Michael 1730.They helped form this country.

I have a question about a different Michael.It is Michael b.1795 d 1849 who is buried in Cassville, NJ.I believe his parents were Erick and Mary. Do you know who his wife was?

The name on the stone is spelled MICHEL ERRICKSON.
Does anyone know anything about him? Who did he marry? Old Tennent records show he was born 20 April 1795.
I believe I may have discovered a mistake many of us have made.
It may be this Michael who married Elizabeth Reynolds. Not Michael b. 05 May 1797.
The reason I say this is because an Author of a book about Rev. War soldiers has contacted me and states that Michael 1797 is buried in Perry NY with a wife who has a different name.
I would appreciate any info anyone has on this man.
I would also like to know if there is an Elizabeth buried next to Michel Errickson d.1849 in Cassville Cemetery.

Dear Isabelle, my name is Nanette Deakin Spector and I am a descendent of Michael Errickson also. My great-grandmother was Adelia Horner Errickson Storms, daughter of Charles Ivins Erricson and Rhoda Bennett Errickson. I visited their graves last September in Barnegat, New Jersey.
