Looking for relatives - My mother's name is Frances. Her parents are Isaac Sanders and Anna M. Estelle, Anna's parents are Francis T. Estelle, and Emma Estelle (maiden name unknown for Emma). If any of this rings a bell, please let me know.

Impossible Ancestry

I am trying to trace my ancestry. I was adopted, and finally found my biological family 6 months ago. My newfound family seems to be rediculously abysmal at keeping track of relatives past a generation or two ago, so I need some serious help. Apparently, we have Native American blood, but no one knows what tribe. From what I have been able to glean, I am reasonably certain that it is through our Estelle blood, but not our Sanders. My mother's name is Frances Gail Sanders, she has a sister named Mary Ann and a brother, Kenneth. Their parents are Isaac Talmadge Sanders and Anna Mae Estelle. Either Anna's sister, or mother was named Emma F. Estelle.

The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of eight airmen who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

They died April 27, at the Kabul International Airport, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from gunfire. The incident is under investigation.

My Clarinda Estell(e) was born in Bradford PA (McKean county) on May 20 1803.She married Ebinezer Galpin about 1826 in Decatur IA. Most likely her parents moved to IA sometime prior to that.

that is about all I know about Clarinda or the Estelle family, I would sure welcome any help or suggestions. Thank you

yikes you have a ton of info - i'm just starting out using info handwritten in 3 letters to my father-in-law. i have a feeling we are going to make a connection via brothers/uncles/sisters/aunts - the info i'm using has all the villages & towns you've noted - my estelles include = lakewood, pemberton, southard, allaire, bricksburg,shrewsbury, belmar, ocean grove NJ - is there a way to search further with you?

I don't know what the S. stands for, could Skidmore his mother is Mary Skidmore or more likely Sylvester, his father
is James Sylvester whose mother is Ann Sylvester. And he has
a brother James Skidmore.

By the way you forgot Estle in estel/estell/estelle branch.
I've settled on Estell since that what John S. put on his
headstone so I figured he gets the last word.

John R., the son of John S. could very well be John Renick
I would be very interested in how they spelled Renick.
John S.'s Wife is Magaret Renick/Rennick/Rennox. She was
from Ireland.

I am in search,as I have looked Endlessly into my family History,of my Grandfathers side,the Estelle family! What I do know is that my grandfather was Blackfoot and Crow Indian. He was Norman Earl Estelle, b.October 11, 1930 in Neptune NJ and d.August 1990. He was a florist. He resided in Belmar and Spring lake most of his life. He had Alot of Children. His was Involved and had Children with Barbra Benner and was at some point Married to and had children with Lillian Struck His Fathers name was Norman Estell and His Mothers name was Helen Linda. I do not know his Fathers Middle name or his Mothers Maiden name nor If they were Married. Any info Helps!

Hi,

I just posted an old newspaper article reporting the murder of Col. William M. ESTELLE in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a veteran of both the Mexican War and the Civil War, and served with the 2nd Missisisppi regiment. Other surnames mentioned are CRANE and GIBBON.
This was scanned from an original issue (NOT microfilm!) of the The West Point Herald newspaper (West point, Clay Co., MS) dated March 28, 1868, and you can see it online here:

I have been doing this research for Betty Wright she was married to Charles Steve Estell . She is remarried but her son Stephen Wayne Estell has shown an interest in Family History so I have been trying to help. I don't have much information but have access to the census records . Yes,

Stephen was my great-great-grandfather. I had never been able to confirm the name of his first wife though I suspected from Illinois marriage records. I knew Ora was my g-g-grandmother Arminda Cooper Estelle's stepson, but I've had trouble finding much info on him & his mother. If I remember the family stories correctly, Ora and Eicy died together in an automobile accident. Ora, Eicy, Stephen & Arminda (as well as many of their other children & Stephen's brother William and his wife Rhoda) are buried near where I live, at Edmond & Arcadia OK. I would love to exchange information - have the Estells back to the Revolution. This is my work e-dress, I can also be reached at saranic@cox.net

Mary A. Estelle b.1851 d 1913 married to Anthony Thompson b.?d.?Mary's father was James Estelle b.1819 d.1868 and he married to Ann Hulse.
