Sezze in the province of latina in the region of lazio is an hour south of rome by train. my parents are from sezze. i have relatives there and in the capital of the province -- latina.

Hi Lisa , My name is Bob Elton and my grandfather was Aurelio Evangelisti. He came fronm a small town south of Rome called Anagni. I just returned in April from a visit there and found about six Evangelisti families. If I can help please let me know.

Hi Lynne ,My grandfathers name was Aurillo Evangelisti.He came to the US around 1908.He also was frond somewhere around Rome.I think a small village called Olevano Romo.
He also had a sister in the US.They settled in the Philadelphia and Camden,N.J. area. It be interesting if there is a connection.

Hi Lynne , My grandfathers name was Aurilio and he was married to Maria Pesce on July 1st.1912 in Phila. had five children including my mother. Jennie was my mother.(Adelina,Francisco,Jennie,Rose,Patrina,and Aurelia) My grandfather also had a sister in the U.S that lived in Camden,N.J. Her was Angeline Cesario. My grandfather died when my mother was around ten, He was also a fireman in Camden ,N.J.but did not die on the job. I hope this info helpslet me know if there is a connection.

My husbands family came to America and settled in Philly, and other part of Penn. Her are their Names. Carmela, Rocco, Micheal, and their are more. That would be great.

Hi Deann, I glad I finally got a reply. My Dad is still living at 96. His father was Giovanni and mother was Palma Velloci.The Place he came from was Monte San Giovanni Campano. The Province of Frosinone. I think your Fathers town was probably Monte Fortino. Maybe we are related. Cousins. I know I found 19 Evangelisti's in my Dads town and most, if not all of us, are related. I would like to correspond with you to learn more. Our name WAS Evangelisti. The "i" was dropped along the way when the family came to the U.S. My father was from Mounta Fortino, Italy (not sure of the spelling of Mounta). Do you think we are long lost relatives? Dee Evangelist

I have always used an i at the end of our name as my father always has. Maybe there are variations on the name Evangelist. My father is fron Monte San Giovanni Campano, Prov. di Frosinone, Italy. The Lazio or Latium Region. Are there any connections here? Thank you. Waiting to hear.
