3/12/02 - MAYVILLE NY Forrest E. Farnham, 83, of 4 Pine Drive, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) in Beverly Health Care, Warren Warren CO PA . He was born Aug. 23, 1918, in Volusia, Chautauqua Co NY ., the son of Leslie A. and Juva Mae Lanphere Farnham. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He had been employed by the New York State Department of Transportation in Mayville. He had also been employed by Kling’s Furniture in Mayville for 27 years. He was a member of Lakeshore Assembly of God Church in Westfield and the Mayville Senior Citizens. He had been active in the Mayville Senior Citizens and loved to travel to all of the different places. He also enjoyed taking his grandchildren camping. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Wasmund Farnham, whom he married April 6, 1941, in Westfield; two daughters: Darleen Burnett and Peggy Cross, both of Mayville; two sons: Daniel Farnham of Kennedy and Thomas Farnham of Mayville; seven grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Marie Burge of Girard, Pa., and Pearl Kuhn of Westfield. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Frances Irwin and Thelma Mlochowski; and three brothers: his twin, Norris Farnham, WWII and Stanley and Lawrence Farnham. . Burial will be in Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
