Since your ancestor William Farquer came to Foster County, North Dakota in 1883 I wondered if he knew or wrote about August and Marie Kowalski and their children who lived in the Carrington area from 1883/84 until at least 1902. The Kowalskis are my ancestors but I only recognize William's name from county history sources. Could you provide any information on the Kowalskis?

Interesting things that may not mean a thing. My ancester, William Farquer married Sarah Jean Beans in Vermont, Ill. May 18, 1859. They eventually settled in North Dakota. Another unrelated coincidence. My husband has family members with the given name of Pleasant.

Looking for parents of Elizabeth FARQUAR who married Pleasant Davis BEAN in 1831. I found a Thomas FARQUER on the 1820 census in Harrison County IN which is where Elizabeth married Pleasant; however, most researchers of the line claim WILLIAM FARQUAR is her dad. I don't have one in Indiana who is easily found but there is one in the Louisville, Jefferson county, KY census. (just up the river from Harrison County, IN) I can't make a link to either man right now but would appreciate any help anyone has on this line. The BEAN family came up from TN > KY> IN, if that helps anyone. I don't know where he met Elizabeth but the records of Harrison county IN show they married there. Thanks, Pam

I don't have b. and d. dates, but she married William Ballantyne (b. Oct. 5, 1766) on July 19, 1794. About the closest relation here is the fact that both Farquar's were from Scotland.
