I don't know who Edward Farrer's parents are. He is as far back in our line that we can find. But, how many Farrer families were there in Lancashire? We've all got to be related somehow. Please share anything you find about the Farrers in Lancashire. Thanks!!

Hi, so great to get a reply, been searching on an off 20 yrs.
only info I have is that Isabella father was John.
Farrer was then brought down as the middle name for a few
of our Baynes family decendants.
Isabella and Thomas Baynes had a son John Baynes born 1815 LLancashire died 1873 was the Mayor of Blackburn, looks like
the Farrer Baynes family were very well known in the Black
burn Preston cotton industry, perhaps if you have and email we could communicate and perhaps find some distant cousins.
I discovered the Farrer link through a Stott family tree
I found on the web, thank yo so much for the reply.
Regards
Desiree

Regarding Isabella Farrer, John Farrer, b. 1764 and his wife Betty Lupton, had no daughter with that name. His son John, b. 1798 had no daughters with that name. If you have any info on Isabella's father that would help. Sorry i could not be of more help. I'm always hoping more cousins show up.

Does anyone know the identity of the Elizabeth Farrer who married William M. Faulkner on October 17, 1873 in Independence, Montgomery County, Kansas? I believe her maiden name may have actually been Rutledge. Was Farrer her widowed name, adopted name? Help! Anyone have a Mary Elizabeth Farrer in their line that they can't identify

Thank you so much for doing that, it's greatly appreciated. And it's also lovley to chat to another family member, even if it's only online:-) l havn't met any of Mike's aunties or uncles or any extended family members as yet, hopeing that will change in the near future however as there could be a couple of family reunions planned for later on in the year.I'm really enjoying researching Mike's family, my mum had done my side of the family quite extensively and is still going...she's been researching for over 20 years now so you can imagine how much research material she's got! Hopefully our daughter Ruby will interested in it all when she grows up as it will all be handed down to me, and then to her....so again , thank you for your help.

Regards, Dani

Hi all, l'm researching the Farrer line in the UK as well as in Australia, and while l have extensively researched a couple of the generations, l'm stuck at one of the UK lines.

In particular, l'm looking for Samuel Farrer who is married to Eleanor and in the 1861 census they are listed with their 4 children Eliza b 1841, Anna b 1843, Samual Frederick b 1853 and Henry Arthur b 1857 who is my direct decendant. They all belong to the St Stephen/ Norwich/ Norfolk area, with Samuel possibly being born in Suffolk but there are a few Samuels born a couple of years apart in the Norwich/Norfolk area.....there is also a Samuel Farrer married to an Ellen with similar named kids; it's all a little confusing !

Any help would be greatfully recieved,
Cheers, Dani

Helo Delia, The Farrer family came from Yorkshire, mostly around the Leeds area. I presumed that orginally the name came from "farrier", which is a blacksmith. My maiden name was Valerie Farrer from Leeds in Yorkshire born 1927. If I can be of any help please let me know Valerie.

Hi, I just came across this old post and was wondering if you still have a digital copy of any old farrer family pictures, I could really use them for reference in my family tree. My lineage is Georges Forrer from Switzerland - John Farrer born in Switzerland - John Jacob Farrer - Darrel Farrer - Michael Farrer - myself. Thanks!
