Come to think of it my Dad has spoken a lot in the past about his uncle albert too.

Are you a relation? That would be great if you are, my Dad was an only child. Both my Grandparents and siblings and my Mum passed away, my father would be happy to think he has other family out there!

Hi there.

Are you still looking for this information? I think that the person you enquired about was my great grandfather. My grandfather was George. Married to Dorothy. They lived in Enfield. Had one son, Colin, (that's my Dad), married to Patricia Blackmore. There are 3 kids, myself (Matthew) Emma and Amanda. We all grew up in Hoddesdon (next town from Ware) and now aged 35 I live in the outskirts of ware.

Let me know any info you need.

Matthew

Hello, your post is almost 12 years old now. So, I hope it gets to you. My great great grandmother was Julia Amelia Volker DOB: 8/22/1953, POB: St Louis, MO, DOD: 2/19/1918. She was married to Nelson Amos BRADLEY - Served in the US Navy on the USS Sagamore in the Civil War. I believe Julia's parents were Julius Volker and Lucy Farrow. I have desperately searched for more info on them. Is there any more that you have found out?

I have tried to write this three times and it has been erased. Please contact me at tkfarrow@yahoo.com

I have researched this line obsessively for over twelve years. I would so appreciate seeing any FARROW photos your are willing to share.

In summary, our lines start with two brothers, Nathan (1802 ) and John Robert (1805 ). They married McCall sisters and lived most of their lives in Williamsport where they ran a cooper business. I have seen their homes, and been to the grave sites of both. I have Nathan's death notice and John's obit on my tree. Not sure if I have scanned the grave stone photos yet.

I have also identified one sister, Louisa, who married a Marteney. She died young and is buried in Hagerstown. Nathan is buried in Williamsport and John in the Lutheran cemetery at Clear Springs.

I have worked tirelessly to find info on their births and parents. All I have is the mother, Mary, lived next door to Nathan and John circa 1850's and with Nathan at one point. She is dead by 1860 census. I can find no info on the father.

One of my Nathan's sons was Joseph Henry Farrow, burgess of Williamsport and a state sentator in Baltimore. There is much written on him due to bios and scandals.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Terri Farrow

I am descended from Jonathan Farrow 1759 - 1837 of Stanningfield but am intrigued to know how the various Lawshall Farrow families were inter-related. I am puzzled about William who married Mary Armstrong, as the Stanningfield baptism record for William gives it as 26/10/1755, whereas I have found an online newspaper transcription suggesting that a William Farrow of Lawshall died there on 20 February 1837 age 76, which gives a birth date of around 1761. The date of 1763 is well within the margin of error, but that leaves the earlier baptism record unexplained. My guess is that perhaps there were two Williams, the first dying in infancy. Any thoughts?

Farrows of Maine

I am having some trouble finding out anything about two Farrows (or possibly Farrars) in my family tree. With both of them, I have come to dead ends. One is Mary Polly Farrow
1773 (Durham, ME) – 1849 (Lisbon, ME). She was the second wife of my 4th great grandfather, Joshua Haley. They may have gotten married around October 1805.

Joshua Haley's son Jacob (my 3rd great grandfather) also married a Priscilla C. Farrow 1810 (Lisbon, ME) – 1878 (Milltown, NB, CAN). I have a marriage date of 17 November 1833, but no source.

I have no real sources here, let alone parents or siblings of either of these women, but I would assume they were somehow related. Anyone have any information they could share? :)
Hello! I am looking for Cyrus Farrow born 1822 in Virginia or Tennessee, married Agnes Lewis Johnston daughter of William Z. C/G. Johnston and Lucy Anne McClanahan. Cyrus Farrow died 22 Mar 1862 in Montgomery, VA.

Cyrus and Agnes (Johnston) Farrow had:
William Johnston Farrow, b. 1854 Kingsport, TN
Augusta Virginia Farrow, b. 1857 Kingsport, TN
John T. Farrow, b. 1860 Virginia

I have found at least 3 other Cyrus Farrows who are not mine, and the similarity of name and relation to Virginia makes me think he must be connected to the larger group of Virginia Farrows. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me find his ancestors and his connection (if any) to the Virginia Farrows! Thanks!

Hi. I have David and Florence in my tree. David was my Great, great, great Grandfather. David was born in Ware. I don't have any record that they were ever married though. I was once e-mailed years ago - sadly I no longer seem to have a record of the content - by someone who said that Florence was his Grandmother.
Sorry it's all a bit vague, but as I was more interested in the male line of Farrows, I haven't followed up on Florence, save to say that I think she may have been married to a brother of David's who died and he then took her and the children in. What do you know? Regards Louise Fenner-Solomon(nee Farrow)

I realize that your inquiry is over six years old and I hope that you receive this. You e-mail was not listed so I had to go through the board. This lady was my grandmother on my father's side. I know quite a bit but still have no pictures of her. My grandfather was Sterling Farrow and he died as a result of a fall at Butler Brothers store in New Hope, Alabama in 1915. My father was the oldest son and of course now he is also deceased. My name is Roger Farrow and my e-mail is rogerfarrow@hotmail.com and my cell number is 256 709 2430. I would be glad to try to answer any questions you might have.

Thanks,
Roger Farrow
