Puerto Rico vital records are not indexed for search. I was able to find a lot of mine by searching the LDS Church records. Go to pilot.familysearch.org. You will have to find the records for the Caribean or PR and browse the record images. They are organized by ciudad, so you could look at just Ponce. It will take you hours and hours but eventually you will notice the patern for how they have organized the images. Also - check out your local public library. Usually, one of the city's libraries will have a genealogy section, which has full access to Ancestry and other search engines. I was able to find Census pages through this. Bring change and a flash drive.

Hi Amina,

I just sent you a message a few minutes. I just saw this message you posted and I am further intrigued because my grandfather Robert Feliciano was born in 1938 and lived in Brooklyn nyc, on Myrtle Ave to be exact. According to my grandmother, Robert had at least one brother and one sister. Do you know if your grandfather have a brother named Robert?

My mom's dad's name is Marcial Feliciano also, she doesnt really know much about him she was born in PR in 1950 then moved to NY with my grandmother, my mom did meet him about 20 years ago he was living in PR, she saw him a couple times then stop hearing from him, she does know he has a couple more kids in PR, last thing we heard from him was that he was living in Miami and past away a few years ago. I dont know if this helps you anything...

I'm looking for information about a Stephen or Esteban Feliciano. This is my grandmother's father. All I know is that he most likely was born in Puerto Rico around 1878. It was believed he was married to a Juanita Perez. They had two children that we know of named Ramona and Hattie.

In the early 1900's we believe he traveled to Maui, Hawaii to work as a laborer in the sugar farms. I found some information on Ancestry.com but would like to find out more.

I wanted to request some information on both Stephen and Juanita in Puerto Rico but don't know where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi, I am looking for an Angel Luis Feliciano Acevedo, but he would probably be about 84 yrs old. He was a veteran of the Korean War. We believe that he may have lived in the NY area. Originally from Arecibo, PR. His parents were Domingo Feliciano and Gumercinda (Cinda) Acevedo. His sisters were Dolores (Lola), Graciela, & Candida.

Maybe you can ask the older people in the family to see if these names sound familiar.

I am looking for my maternal grandfather Robert Feliciano. He would be in his mid to late sixties by now. He lived in Brooklyn NY for a dye company back in the 1960's, 1970's. He was married to my grandmother Barbara Woodruff in 1970. My mother has never known him but we have seen a photo of him. He wore very thick glasses, very light skinned, seemed to have very thick black hair. According to the records, his father was Mario Feliciano from Sicily, and his mother was Josephine from Puerto Rico. Josephine had an interesting last name, Fiurang (i think i spelled that right). Robert was said to have another daughter named Samantha who was a redhead, she would be about forty-something at this point. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
