      <title>Obit: Allan W. Ferdi</title>

      <description>ALLAN W. FERDI &lt;br&gt;Age 44, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, passed away recently. He was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and The Ohio State University School of Welding Engineering. He worked for Pacific Gas &amp;amp; Electric in California for several years. Allan enjoyed researching various projects and had patented "SpecMate" and designed several other products. He traveled extensively and was a warm, gentle, kind person. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert A. Ferdi, maternal grandparents, Wallace and Anne Kosiba, and uncle Robert Kosiba. Allan is survived by his mother, Loretta Ferdi of Columbus, OH and Gary, IN; sister, Linda Ferdi of Crown Point, IN; aunt, Nancy Kosiba of Gary, IN; uncles, James (Janice) Kosiba of Crown Point, IN and Bradley Kosiba of Gary, IN; aunt, Shirley Kosiba of Martinsville, IN; and cousins, Kris, Katherine (Katie), Kyle, Ryan, Elisha, Brad, Jonas, and Justin Kosiba. A private memorial service will be conducted in Crown Point, Indiana. If desired, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
