Good morning. One thing is for sure - you are in the right family. To start with the Grate Train Robbery in 1963. Malcolf Fewtrell was a superintendent with Buckingham CID, and was in charge of the investigation. Malcolm is the son om Ernest George Fewtrell, and who is the son of Harry Fewtrell.Harry and wife Rosa Ann Taylor Mulcock had several children living in UK and Canada. None of these are George Charles Fewtrell. He is from a different link - to find him, you have to go back to George Fewtrell 1794(or similar) and died in 1869. Several sons, and one is Geroge Fewtrell (1827) Your line follows him, and my wifes line into Harry goes through the brother (the second oldest) John Henry Fewtrell). I believe I have most of the information in his line - and quite a bit on the other lines.
My problems are the Fewtrells of 1600 and 1700. I belive I have some information, but I cannot prove they are correct.
I am quite willing to share information, and if you like to, I can invite you to be a guest in my family tree wehich is called Flatmark-Fewtrell.
Looking foreward to cooperate with you
Kåre Flatmark
Norway

Hi, I have an Adolphus FEWTRELL who married Susannah Louisa HURST on the 28 Mar 1869 at St Nicholas Church, Brighton, Sussex (his name is incorrectly written/indexed as TEWTRELL). They had a daughter Laura born Brighton 1869 and baptised at St Jude's Temporary Church in Peckham on 15 Aug 1869. She married Henry William HOYES 6 Jul 1892 at St Saviour's Church, Lambeth. They had no children according to 1911 census. Is this your Adolphus?

The Farnham, Surrey Fewtrells , late 1700

Just wonderinger if there is anyone who can help sorting out the different Fewtrell of the late 1700. My wife comes from the line of George Fewtrell 1795-1869 and wife Harriet Mills (1801- 1851). The problem is who are their parents. There seems to be a John Fewtrell of 1785 and wife Lucy Little. They had children , both George and Johns, but the George was apparently born in 1786 and died in 1853. I am corresponding with several other studying the Fewtrells, but we seem to differ when we come to the late 1700, early 1800. Please is there anyone who can help us out.

Hi no sorry no relationship at all. I was given the 51 census for Hampshire from a friend who's father had died and she was going to throw it away. So my contribution is to help others if I can. (When I am not busy looking for my family). If I can help with any others please let me know. Happy 2003 and may it be successful for you.
Looking for the ancestors of Charles Fewtrell born @ 1833

Hello fellow Fewtrellians,

I am looking for help to find my gt. gt. grandfather's parentage. The first census he appeared on was 1881. He was apparently born in Bermondsay circa 1833. He was married (? -- as I can find no record of it!) to Emma Davies and their first son, Charles John, was born in 1852. I have been going through parish registers in Bermondsey but have yet to hit pay dirt. If you have a Charles Fewtrell on your tree, please contact me.

Thanks,
Ruth

They married in Birmingham Register Office in November 1913 and I'm trying to find out more about Amelia's background and family.

George was born around 1882 and worked as a Tube Drawer (in the glass making industry I think). Amelia was born around 1876 and worked as a Glass Cutter.

Thanks
Peter

I have encountered a Reuben Fewtrell in my wife's family tree.
He was born in South London (probably Bermondsey) in 1872. His
father was Reuben William Fewtrell (b 1850)

Could these be among your ancestors? Please contact me at gorpwood@edu.yorku.ca
