My name is Mike Knight, son of Phillip Knight who I believe was the next to youngest son of Julia and Frank my grandparents. I want to hand down something of Franks to my oldest son Jon Knight this christmas. I want to tell a family story along with the gift and ralized how little I know about grand dad including date of birth/death. Can anyone in the family help?

Death of Filmore - 1893

Taken from the Cherokee Advocate, Oklahoma, 18 March 1893

Filmore, a student at the Male Seminary, died very sudden last week. He was taken sick in the evening and died the next morning.

Hello I was just searching the site and found your post although it is 8 years ago I wanted to reply as my Grandmother(Edith Filmore) was a Filmore from Yateley and my ancestors I have an old address book quoting Cricket Hill/Lane My family tree has George and Harriet Filmore as my great great grandparents

I am your dad's cousin. My name is Ron Jones. My mother was Ethel Knight a sister to your grandfather Clyde. I have been researching both the Fillmore and Knight lines and have information that I am willing to share. We will be having a family reunion in the Santa Ynez valley the first of June (2005). Julia Ann Fillmore was my grandmother. My mother's name was Ethel L. Knight. I am conducting research on both the Fillmore and Knight lines and would appreciate any information concerning these families. I am willing to share information I have with interested parties.

Violet was my aunt. My mother was Ethel Violet's sister. I am currently conducting research on both the Fillmore and Knight lines. If you have information concerning these families I would be very interested. I am also willing to share my information with others.

Julia Filmore and Frank Knight's son, Clyde Knight was my grandpa. He married Ellen Johnsen. My parents are Martin and Cynthia Knight. My grandparents past-away a couple of years ago, but my parents still live in the Santa Ynez Valley. I asked my parents if any of the names you gave me sounded familiar, but they were not sure. They are going to look for a family that we have of the Knight and Filmore Family. I would like to know were the Filmores were from. I do not know much about that side of the family. My dad says that we are related to President filmore.

Julia Filmore was my great-grandmother. My grandpa was Clyde Knight-he was one of the sons of Julia and Frank. My parents are Martin and Cynthia Knight. They still live in the Santa Ynez Valley. I went to the family reunion you were talking about. I remember Violet, but I can't remember who her children are, I will ask my parents and e-mail you again. I think the twins boys were adopted by one of the Knights. they were step-brothers to my dad's cousin Dan Carter. I met the twins only once when I was little. I would like to hear from you again.

This Violet was born and lived all of her life in the Santa Ynez valley of California. She was one of the Knight family that still live in the area. Are you looking for the Fillmore family?

Her name was Violet Robinson. Married to Claude or Clyde and lived near Solvang. Not real sure of her birthdate.

My grandmother's mother was Suzanna Fillmore. She married Elza Foust. Your parents might remember the Foust's. Two of the Foust children married two of the Fillmore children which led to a whole bunch of double cousins. Julia was her sister. Their parents were William and Adaline Fillmore. They both died on 2/24/1919 in Taft (or Fellows) California. William is buried in the old Taft cemetery and Adaline is buried in Union cemetery here in Bakersfield. Adaline is buried next to Edward, Harvy and Virna Fillmore. Email me directly and I will tell you more of the details. Legend has it that we are related to President Fillmore but have I not tracked personally it down yet. Supposedly William's father and Millard's father were brothers.
