I'm looking for anybody who would be related to Charles Stuart Parnell FitzSimons from Dublin. He is the father of Maureen O'Hara ( FitzSimons) . He moved to Los Angeles to be with his daughter and sons in the late 1950's. Two of his brothers were Jack and Frank who we think moved to the east coast of the United States.

Although I don't have information on your great ancestor, I have spent much time in Ireland and at the Ancestry website, searching for information about my family in Mayo (surname Fox),and in Down (surnames McCartan and Doran), where my wife and I have also visited. I would like to ask you a little about your father's work on the Quiet Man. I understand that in addition to being a lawyer, he was very instrumental in making all sorts of arrangements, in addition to his wonderful role as Hugh Forbes. I was sorry to hear of his passing. My great-grandfather was James Joseph Fitzsimons, who lived in New Jersey after he left Kells. As far as I know, Frank stayed in Kells, his wife Nancy died just a few years ago. As for Jack, he died in 1950, I believe in Kells, but not sure about that.

The east coast siblings that I know of are my grandfather James Joseph, and his brothers Michael and Joseph.

sorry, doesn't sound like a match. James Joseph's parents were Bartle FitzSimons and Bridget Tormey, only two sisters were Mary and Kate

My great, great, great grandfather was Michal Fitzsimmons (the spelling could be wrong) who was born in Dublin, Ireland abt 1801 and his wife's name was Ann who was born abt 1800 in Manchester, Lancashire, England. I don't know her maiden name. Their daughter, Kate was my great, great grandmother and so it goes on. I wonder if this could be the same Michael and Ann that you are looking for? Please contact me. My Great great grandparents,Michael and Anne were both from Westmeath.
You may have luck finding your Ann in England with freedmb or rootschat.com.
When i started researching my family almost 4 years ago,I had no idea that given names were used repeatedly by brothers naming their children after brothers,sisters parents aunts uncles ect!
Have you found their marriage license yet?any birth records for their children?
