Armand, the following is an extract, taken from: "A Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Colonial Gentry" by Sir Bernard Burke, G.B., LL.D, Vol. 1.

FLINT OF BELLEVILLE
Flint, Hon. Billa, of the city of BELLEVILLE, Co. Hastings, Province of Ontario, Dominion of Canada, J.P., and member of the Senate of Canada from May, 1867; first president of the Board of Police, BELLEVILLE, and mayor of that town in 1861. b.in Elizabethtown, Co.Leeds, Ontario, 9th Feb. 1805; m. there, 10th Sept. 1827, Phoebe Sawayer, second daughter of E. Clements, Esq., of Elizabethtown, aforesaid, buy by her (who d. at BELLEVILLE, 24th May, 1886, and was buried in the cemetery near that city)had no issue.
LINEAGE
The great grandfather of the Hon. Billa Flint migrated from Flintshire, N. Wales, and settled in Connecticut, when a British province. His son subsequently started for Canada as a United Empire Loyalist, but was forced to settle down at Brandon, Vt. he d. near the then village of Brandon, having had, amongst other issue, a son, Billa Flint, Esq., of Brockville, Co. Leeds, Ontario. He was b. in Connecticut before the Declaration of Independence, went to Canada in 1781; m. in 1802, Phebe Wells, whose father came from the north of Ireland, and settled down in one of the eastern states. She was b. in Vermont, went to Canada about 1801, and d. in the state of Pennsylvania, aged 90 yrs. He d. in 1852, aged about 77 yrs. and had, amongst other issue, the present Hon. Billa Flint, only surviving child.End

having a son named J.B. Flint (adopted).
From my own papers, I can tell you that Billa Sr. had 5 siblings. Names are Ephraim, Nathan, Roswell, Lemuel, Lois. Their father was Nathan Flint, a Revolutionary Soldier; their mother was Mercy Holton, b.Oct.30, 1738. A second wife was named Sarah Goodenough, widow of Timothy. She d. June 16, 1828 at 80 yrs.
Nathan the son (Billa's brother)b.Mar. 4,1765 in Tolland, CT., d.Jan.2,1842 in Brandon, Vt. He m.(1st)Jerusha Durkee, no children. She d.Feb. 3,1839. Nathan then m. Minerva Bartlett, who d.Mar.30, 1864, age 71. Nathan and both wives are buried in Brandon, Vt. Mercy and Nathan moved to Brandon (then known as 'Neshobe') in 1784. They were 2 of the original 10 members of the Brandon Congregational Church. The burial ground is right next to the church, and many members of his family are buried there.
