My Dad was Olivo Flor who can to the USA in 1923 from Val Di Non of the town Revo. I would like to know how the Flor family of Revo is related to the Flor Family of Brez. Can you help me?

my grandmother was Natalina Bertagnoli, she was from Val di Non ,Trentino, She had sisters (3?)and i know for sure that she was born in USA. Then she came to Italy and married with Giovanni Penzo, my grandpa, and had three children, Bruno, Elio and Lorena. Do you have any informations about the possible american ancestors of my family?

BTW, Virginia Flor's parents were Rafaele Flor and Maria Avanzini; a brother was Ralph(Alf)Flor who also lived in Rock Springs (sons Robert & Guido, wife Colomba); two sisters Mrs. Anna (Flor) Rizzi (North Hollywood) and Mrs. Emanuel (Flor) Bertagnolli who stayed in the Tirol. I also have a newspaper clipping/obit for an O.E. Bertagnolli that was president of a bank in Rock Springs--we probably were related somewhere through the above-mentioned marriage.

My great-great-grandfather was Anton Mengoni, wife Virginia Flor. Came from the Tirol and married in Bessemer, Michigan. Eventually moved to Rock Springs, WY. Four children--Lena (my great-grandmother), Mary, Ann, and a son Henry (died as a child). I am trying to locate Anton's family line, and I'm curious if his actual surname would have been Menghini. Hello Allen, My grandmother was Emma (Flor) Callovini, daughter of Luigi (I think) and Maria (Fellin) Flor, and was born in Brez around 1900. She married Luigi Callovini of Fondo, son of Romano Callovini and Cecilia (Bertagnoli)Callovini. Both of my grandparents emigrated to Hazleton, PA, where they were married. I remember, from childhood the family of Lodovico Menghini of Hazleton, who were close family friends of my grandparents. I'm looking for information on Frank Flors, he had a daughter Rosa. They were in San Luis Obispo, California at least for Rosa's marriage in 1884 (Juan Romero) the marriage certificate lists that the parents are Native so I don't know how long they were in San Luis obisbo.

I am researching the following families from this area: FLOR, MENGHINI, ZUECH and RIZZI. My great-grandfather's name is Augusto Jess FLOR, born 6 Mar 1886 in Brez and my 2nd great-grandfather's name is Cesere FLOR, born in Brez. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My father Olivo Flor came from the village of Revo, Val Di Non, Italy. The past two years I have been search the Flor Family Roots of this area.This branch of Flor family did come from Brez. Would like to hear from anyone who has Flor connections to the Val Di Non.

I just read your other post and now I know wer'e talking about the same person.
Fanny Menghini and john Menghini were my great grandparents. They both died in Mexico (El, Oro). I've got some other information on them if you want.

My mother is Patricia Menghini. Jeanot is her cousin. Jeaunot's mother was Emma Ruffini who married into teh Crosswaite family. Emma Ruffini was my Mom's uncle (her fathers' sister. they have different last names b/c fanny Menghini's first husband died (like you asid in your post) but remarried to John Menghini. CAn you follow all that? It's confusing.
So Jeunot is your second uncle? am I right?

I'd love to see the photo. I tried finding information on the entry port of the Menghini's but never could. I was told they entered through a Mexican port and it was so long ago that I never pursued it.

I have lots of old fotos from Mexico of the Ruffini's/Menghinis even some of Jeunot and Eugene.
By all means , pass my e-amil along to your mom or she can even call me up if she wants.

Yes, my grandfather (Eugene Crosthwait) is his brother. I will forward your e-mail to my mom who has our genealogy on file, since I don't have it on my computer. I have some information on the Menghini/Ruffini clan including a picture of the boat they came over on. You can actually find a record of them on the ellis Island web page if you hunt for it.

Since Jeanot Crosthwait is my Great Uncle (and there are no other direct decendents from that side of the family) he must be a distant uncle of yours? What are your parents names? If our information matches up, we can compare our information.

I would like to find further info about the Avancini family.
My great grand parents come from Trento to Brazil. Giuseppe Avancini acording to my grand father which name was Manoel Avancini. They may have arrived in Brazil in Vitoria and then moved to Rio Grande do Sul.
That is all I know. Hope to find out something else.Thanks in advance.

i too have a grandpa that drinks alot. he is dead now but his name was leonard sierzega, son to i think mary and stephen sierzega. they lived in chicago il. if this is any familiar reply or email me. my great grandfather and mother were from poland. not sure wat part though. im only young so i dont no a whole lot about anything before him

I'm the 7th great-granddaughter of Elizabeth Flor of Germany. She married an Alexander Diehl. They were born in I"m guessing the early 1700's, possibly mid 1700's, and moved to Pennsylvania, and had a son named Christian Diehl, who changed his name to Dale. I'm interested in knowing more about this name. Is Flor a German name? I'd like to ultimately find out who Elizabeths parents were.

If a person is divorced from a deceased childs parent, and there are no other surviving children from that union, is the divorced spouse still considered a relative?

George W Flor family

We are searching for info on George W. Flor. He was born in Kentucky around 1821 Wifes name is Elizabeth J. born in Kentucky also. Had three children in Kentucky, William, John C, and Mary D, then moved to Missouri. Had three more children, Robert E., Everett Marshall (this is our Great Grandfather, born 29 July 1857) and Cordelia. They Father was in the Civil War, then Elizabeth ended up alone raising the children. Some were bond out, and we lost track of them. I have seen name spelled FLOR, FLORE, now we spell it FLORIE. We cannot trace back the nationality. Can anyone Help? Please..

Do you have information on Peter Ruffini or his wife Fanny Menghini? They were originally from Brez. Fanny was born abt. 1872. She and Peter moved to America sometime in the late 19th century and later to Mexico. After Peter died, Fanny went with her kids to Italy and married John Menghini (no relation to her). She, her kids from her marriage to Peter, and her new husband returned to America in early 1902 from a trip to either Italy or then Switzerland. Can you help?

I am related (by marriage) to Albert Wayne Flor, Sr., Jr., III and IV. I think there must be some relation since you too, have an Albert. My understanding was that they came from Scandinavia, and that Flor was a diminutive of a longer name. It is also my understanding that there is a common language root between Swedish and Hungarian. Perhaps that has some connection.

Son of Philip John Flor and Barbara Ann Sierzega.
Grandparents= Albert Nicholas Flor and Elizabeth
Greatgrand parent= Nicholas ? Flor - he was an imigrant, died when my grandfather was seven. Apparently he was very smart, but abused alcholol, came to the pocono's of Pennsylvania from Tyrol in Hungry, but we are not sure.
