I am looking for anyone who may have Elizabeth or Betty Fogo (b. @ 1906 in Scotland) in their line. She married Claude ? in New York where she had immigrated in 1921 and worked as a cook for a family. Her family was still back in Glasgow Scotland at the time.

Trying to find Janet's parents. I have her father as Joseph taken from the OPR record of her marriage to Florence Horsburgh but I can't find any trace of her birth on the OPRs on Scotlandspeople or indeed anywhere in the UK. Can anyone help?

WEST BRANCH, Iowa - Marguerite Ohrt Fogo, 81, of West Branch died Monday April 28, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Service will be at the West Branch United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Memorials may be made to the West Branch First Responders.

Mrs. Ohrt was born September 27, 1926, in Cedar County the daughter of Orville and Bertha Reed Taylor. She married William Ohrt on November 29, 1941, he died in 1976. She later married William Fogo on June 2, 1978, he died in 1997.

She and her husband William Ohrt had owned and operated the Hoover Café and Hotel in West Branch for several years and also was employed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the dietary Department.

She was a member of the West Branch United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge in Iowa City and enjoyed the coffee club at Bruster’s and playing bingo.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Johnson and husband, Terry, of Iowa City, Carol Hills and husband, Ron, of Tipton and Sandy Bell and husband, Larry, of West Branch; a son, Robert Ohrt and wife, Judy, of Tipton; grandchildren, Tammy Bouzek and husband, Rick, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, David Johnson and wife, Deb, of Solon, Michelle Wolfram and husband, Jeff, of Iowa City, Rodney Ohrt and wife, Deb, of Stanwood, Tracy Stotler and husband, Terry, of Solon, Amanda Ohrt of Cedar Rapids, Curtiss Hills of Ocala, Florida, Douglas Hills and wife, Rachel, of Iowa City, Matthew Hills of West Branch, Dustin Hills of Iowa City, Darcy Wall and husband, Scot, of Magnolia, Texas, Danyel Glazebrook and husband, Brady, of Bettendorf and Rande Ladehoff and husband, Devin, of North Liberty; 30 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ted Taylor of Wilton and Bob Taylor and wife, Marian, of West Liberty.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, William Ohrt and William Fogo, two sisters, Gladys Taylor and Lucy Anderson, and one great-grandson, Colton Johnson.

What would you like to know about Hugh Glendore Fogo and Ida Olive Bagley? I have access to much of the Fogo information if you would like it. My great great grandparents, David Fogo and Francis Ellen Ewing, were Hugh Glendore Fogo's grandparents. I would love to help if I can.

I live near Gosford in NSW so not too far away. I have just read one of your messages about Margaret Munce who married a Samual Fogo. Now I am sure I have some research somewhere on the Fogo family as some years ago I did some for a lady so will look it up for you and let you know.
My Munce connection is with my daughter-in-laws family her mothers maiden name is Munce and they are descendant form William John Munce who married Elizabeth Eleanor McKenny.
Do you know where your Margaret Munce originates from? Will put in my address as so much infor to send via the message board.

My Great Uncle's name was Alexander Sturrock Goodale from Dundee, Angus Scotland. He was living in Arbroath, Scotland when he left to come to the Boston area to live with my Grandparents Peter Duncan Goodale & Mary Ann Chisholm-Goodale. All I know is that he was born about 1799 and came with his parents to Ohio. The story is that he was born in Kilmarnock (never heard of it), Ayrshire, Scotland. I have that he died in 1876 in Richland County, Wisconsin, and never found a death certificate (not many were filed until about 1900). Does that help narrow it down any?

my sister jeanette lane is researching our great-great grandparents and we have traced them to the above on the 1891 census. We are now trying to find the whereabouts of the children of Samuel and Margaret Fogo of whom our grandmother Isabella Fogo came to Australia in 1911. Hi! Am looking for relatives/descendants of John and Jane (Draghorn) Fogo. He was born in 1799 in Kilmarnock and traveled from Scotland to Ohio.
