Foltzenlogel/Folzenlogel

My gggrandfather was Anthony Foltzenlogel/Folzenlogel, Volzenlogel, etc.
who was born in 1817 in Surbourg, Bas-Rhin,
Alsace, France and his family was of German
descent. He came to America and married my
gggrandmother Frances Mueller in St. James
Catholic Church, White Oak, Ohio in January,
1848. St. James is located in Hamilton County, Ohio near Cincinnati. Anthony
and Frances Mueller Foltzenlogel had several
children who were christened at St. James Church between the years 1850 and 1862. The children were Carolyn, Anthony of Padua, Mary
Magdalen, Francis Joseph, Wendelin Henry, Ed Adolph, Benedict, Mary Ann Frances, and Victoria "Wilhelmina" Foltzenlogel (my great-
grandmother). Sometime after the birth of Wilhelmina in March, 1862 and before the birth of her sister, O'tellia, in January, 1864, the family moved to a farm in Jennings County, Indiana where they settled and the parents Anthony and Frances Mueller Foltzenlogel lived the rest of their lives.
After moving to Jennings County, Indiana, the
couple had more children - Mary Josephine Foltzenlogel, born in 1866, and Philip Foltzenlogel, born about 1869 in Indiana also. Philip died an unmarried man. Some of
the Foltzenlogel children moved to Oregon, near Portland. Carolyn married John Lindner and died young on April 3, 1876 in Cincinnati. Anthony of Padua, it was heard, shortened his surname to "Logel". Mary Magdalen married a man with the surname Willer. Frances Joseph and Ed Adolph settled in Portland, Oregon where they died. Benedict died at the age of 8 months. Mary Ann Frances married Nicholas Froelich. My ggrandmother, Wilhelmina, married Frank Joseph Hollaender in 1883 and they settled in Cincinnati where they raised 11 children. Her younger sister, O'tellia,
married Wendel Kline and they lived in Indiana (I believe Jennings County). Philip died an unmarried man. If anyone sees a connection with their family, please write at VLP2460@AOL.COM Thank you.

Hi Vicki,
Boy was I surprised when I went to the Logel reunion in
Muscatine, Ia. last Sunday. Who should I meet but Father
Joe. After reading your letter I had decided I couldn't make
a connection but I must have been wrong. I will work on it
some more. Thank you for your help.
