Forder birth

I am seeking help with Eliza Forder supposedly born Somerset, Bristol in 1841 but I think Bristol was in Gloucestershire. She also states she was born in Bath on one census. Birth between 1841-44. Father William John Forder, carman - no other information. Eliza married George Loveday in Heston, Middx in 1860. There was another Forder family of Jas and Harriet in Heston at that time but I can't get any links although I have researched this second family as well. Can't get back any further with her - any ideas appreciated!

Iam the youngest son of James Maynard Forder and Rose Kolesky. He fathered 5 children with my mother (3rd wife, I believe, before divorcing. He was killed in a car accident dying on Jan. 5, 1964, 15 miles outside of El Paso Texas. On his death certificate it states he was married to Patricia Forder (I believe she was no. 4). He was born Nov. 2, 1914 and was only 49 at time of his death.

My twin sister communicated with you some toime ago.

I have James' death certificate.

His mother was Mary Doss and his dad was Herbert Forder.

Your husband it would appear is my half brother.

I am going to attempt to attach two photo's of Hubert Forder here, if it doesn't work email me direct and I will attach them again. I should love to see the photo's you have of your Dad to see if there is any family resemblance. I am assuming you never picked up on any 'family scandle' re Edith did she leave him or what?

thank-you for replying i do'nt have any photos of alfred .with him and his wife dying so young my dad was brought up by his grandmother hannah forder who was alfreds mother i would love to have been able to see what they were like.i would like to see the photo of hubert that you have,if you could send me your e-mail address we could exchange photos,i have one of a forder wedding pre ww2,maybe it would help you see if there is any family resemblence,i have researched the forders back to 1700s,hope to hear from you again,jane

Thanks so much for getting in touch and I apologise for the delay in replying to you. I don't have a lot of info for you sadly, my mum was the daughter of Edith Rolls born in March 1907 only four months after Alfred died but her birth certificate shows the name of Edith's second husband as her father. I can't find out if he gave her his name and then married Edith in 1908 or whether mum was actually the child of Alfred I guess I will never know that now as I only have one cousin alive who actualy knew my grandmother and she apparently knows nothing. Hubert was my mums half brother and was about four years older than mum. The family weren't in contact until I was in my teens for some unknown reason but I did meet my uncle and his family a couple of times and they came to my wedding. Both he and his wife, Gladys, died in the late sixties and I have no contact with his children of whom I believe there were two or three I do have a photo of him which I would be happy to share if you want to reply to my own email address which I have given I will send it to you. I'm not sure how this system works or whether you get to see my emails address so I will look out for a reply via this notice board as well. Do you have any other info re Edith or Alfred? If you had a photo of Alfred I should love to see it. I am sorry I don't have much more to offer but would love to hear anything you might have to share, I have a feeling I have 'forder' roots rather than wells, don't know why

hi,my father was charles john forder born southampton his father was alfred john who was first grace kate stanley and then to edith rolls my dad also married twice i am from his second mariage he had three children one daughter dorerthy who died in her 50s within two weeksof dad who lived until his 85th year so there is a son who is 82 still alive and myself in my 50s,i would love to hear from you as i new my dad had a half brother some where,he had always thought they had gone to usa

I have a copy of Henry Forder's baptism record from 1823. And he did marry two women with similar names. Please reply to me direct at fdr@wordwise.co.uk as the ancestry messaging system often refuses to allow me access even though I am a mamber

Hey fellow researchers out there.
I am STUCK. Currently living here in the USA and trying to research my family, although I have found plenty of my other family I cannot find any links via the usual sites for my HENRY FORDER. b. 1823 ish. in Marlborough Wilts.
I dont know if anyone out there has a copy of his birth certificate that can lead me down the right path. But some help would be gladly appreciated.
I know that he was married to a Helen from the census info, but I have a feeling he was married before Helen to another, who subsequently died, but this is supposition.
Hope to hear from others.

Trying to trace the Forders from Biddlesden, Northamptonshire. Rose Forder (my great grandmother) was born 1861 in Biddlesden. Siblings = Emmerline Forder (b 1858 Biddlesden) who married Lewis A Cox (b 1834 Dudley), Anne (b 1854 Biddlesden), Ellen (b 1864 Syresham). Rose's father I think was Francis Forder (b 1820 Westhsted, Hants) who married Mary Ann (b 1824 Eartham, Sussex).

Hey,I just found your reply,sorry its 7 months late.I bet we have the same picture,is he in uniform & sitting with your mom on grass? He must have been something to have 4 women marry him.And 11 children from Windsor to El Paso.Jim remembers seeing him only once,his mother(Kitty)divorced him when Jim was a few months old.Jim was raised by his grandmother & they never talked about his dad.Jim is 69 this coming may 20th.Hope to hear from you,Thanks,Harriet

My parents were Stephan and Eileen Mary Forder, both of whom died recently at 98 years old. I ìmmigrated to Finland in 1969 and have two sons by different marriages, Petri Stephan and David Christian.

Thank you for your enquiry. Sadly I can't help you as I know very little of the Forder's. My G/mother was first married to Alfred John Forder on the 12/March 1903 when he was already a widower with one child a son, shown in the 1901 census as Charley aged 5. There was one child of their union a boy called Hubert or Herbert (not certain which) and then Alfred died on 1st November 1906 present at the death was Emily Harris an aunt. My mother was born on the 31st March 1907 and the certificate shows her father as Edwin Wells who I always believed to be my g/father. I don't know if he took my g/mother in and gave his name to my mother
(which would make my true line that of Forder) or if in fact they were already together before Alfred died and the child was really Edwin's making me a Wells. My grandfather and Edith Mary Rolls (my grandmother) were married on 30th May 1908. Sadly a mystery which I feel will never be truly explained.

My great great grandmother was Sara Jane Forder and had a daughter dorothy and son William. William- my great grandfather came to Canada in 1912, with his family. The Forders came to visit in Peace River and Sara jane stayed until her death in 1938- She was born in England 1842. If you have heard of these Forders please let me know.

My greatgreat grandmother was Sarah Jane Forder who had a Daughter named Dorothy Forder. They were from the Southhampton area and she later came to Canada. She was born 1842 and died in Canada in 1938. If there is any conection her for you please let me know.

My Grandmother Edith Mary Rolls was the second wife of Alfred John Forder who was a widower when they married in 1903. He had a child from his first marriage Charlie born 1896. There was one child of the marriage, Hubert born 1904. I have been unable to find a death for Alfred John, my grandmother married again in 1908 but my mother was born in 1907 I am intrigued to know why the gap! Any information you can add I should be grateful.

I'm researching the Forder family, 5 generations and counting. Geographically we've spread from Kent, England to Ontario, Canada and Alberta, Canada. I have some historical information on the Forder name and crest as well. If anyone is interested in comparing notes, I'd love to hear from you.

Specifically I am looking for any information about Albert James FORDER, born at Chatam Kent, England married to Sarah May FROGLY from Watersfield England. These appear to be the first generation of this branch to leave England for Canada.
