I have a Alsey Fore, age 56, Born in NC living in Alabama in the 1850 census. She has a male age 22 named Allen born in Ala. Nearby there is a William Fore with wife Isabell (ages 34 and 26 resp.) William born in Ala and Isbell born in Miss. At that same time I have a Great Great Uncle Benjamin B. Fore, age 56 born in VA and his brother Charles J. age 45 also born in VA. In the next county lives a B.B. Fore, Age 32 born in VA probably the son of Benjamin B. Fore but I have never been able to connect. I do not have any thing else on Alsey Fore or any of the other names you

Hi sorry I haven't posted in a while but I was trying to gain information on my great grandmother's family and I believe we have communicated in the past via posts, My great grandmother was Alcey Fore sometimes seen spelled as Elsie, she married Nathan Parker and I believe descended from William and Isabella with siblings Daniel, Ambrose, Wright, and Martha; My father used to say that his grandmother was part indian but I have not been able to verify this. I do have pictures of her with my great grandfather and her sister Martha. I would love any infomation that you have. Or if anyone else has information on this family if would be greatly appreciated. My ex-mother-in-law (deceased) was the daughter to Inez Simmons and Inez was the daughter to Fannie Beavers who was married to John Fore - Fannie has a sister - Carrie Beavers - Inez's best friend was Bobbby McDaniel (a cousin by marriage) - please reply if this is the information you were looking for - I'm trying to research the Indian blood line for Fannie Beavers - maybe she was part Cherokee ?

I am researching the Fore family as well. The Margaret you speak of marrying Wilbur Selph was my paternal aunt. Her name is Margaret Louise Fore. We called her Louise. Her mother was Margaret Elizabeth Whitaker and her father was William Daniel Fore all born in VA. On the 1930 census, Louise is 8 which means a birth year of 1922. You can look at the census for the remainder of the siblings. The only one not listed was my favorite aunt, Virginia Fore Taylor born 29 Sep 1931 and died on 5/31/2004. I hope this is helpful.

Joel Fore and Amelia Finklea are my ancestors. I'm not with my genealogy information so once I get to it, I will let you know what I find out. My father worked on our genealogy years ago and I went with him to Joel and Amelia's grave sites near Marion, S.C. on Lonnie Proctor's farm. My father has some information about Joel's children but our line was through Thomas, I think. I'll let you know.

My great grandfather was Earl Mccaa/Mccoy(depending on who you ask). He was married to Bessie. He had daughters named Adline(born in 1931), Lilly, Francis, Margaret, and a few more that I do not remember the names of. He had sons named Simmy and Richard. One other thing: your brother's surname MUST be Fore/Faure/Ford etc. In other words, he has to be the son of a son of a son etc. all the way back to the original immigrant. If he descends from a Fore/Faure/Ford daughter (who married a man with a different surname), it won't work.

I had the b. and d. dates wrong in my original query. The month should be March.

A newspaper article about the shooting and death of Frank Fore in Fort Worth, TX claims he had two brothers who were staying nearby during Frank's final days after the shooting.

Also, as rare as the name and birth year of my Frank Fore is I suppose this is very probably him even though the wife appears later as a widow in 1900, and my Frank was killed in 1904. It is possible that he deserted Daleenia. I need to check out that possibility.

Most of the census records are on the above website. I used above link and Ancestry.com going back to 1850 with his parents coming to Texas from Texas Co MO after the birth of Franklin Fore and before sister Sarah was born about 1855 in Texas.

If you know for fact that this is the same person who married Dulcina Chaney, who said she was a widow in 1900. D Frank and Dulcina had 6 known children; Lula, John, Lala, Homer, Linnie and Ina.

Unknown where D Frank Fore was buried.

Mary A Fore 29 Sept 1840 - 15 Jan 1918 Coryell Co; Julia Ann 20 Dec 1859 Bastrop Co - 12 May 1899 Coryell; Thomas Jefferson 1844 - 1873 Coryell married Malinda in 1867; Augustus Washington 1849 - 13 May 1899 Coryell.

These are copies of Muster Rolls of Coryell County Minute Men Companies mustered for protection from the Indians during the Civil War and were copied from records in the Texas State Archives.
