Hi folks ive found this site about the origin of our name.
it says that our name meens the peoples army!

but to add a further point, their was once a medievil militia weapon called a Vougle it started life as basicly somthing sharpe and pointy on the end of a big stick. somthing any old person could have lying around. its is refered to as the peoples weapon!

As you may know from poking round on the net that durin earl england F's and V's were almost interchangable. i think their mabe some conection. Mabe our family got its name from a company of Malitia soldiers using Voulge's "Voulgers" other milatery ranks have suvived the ages as names such as "Bowman" and it is highly likly itmay have changed in translation unpon arriving in england to Foulger
