Please disregard the first message. I am doing to many sides of my family. John Frazier, would he have been married to a Josephine Tarr and had son Delbert Frazier in 1908. Please respond to me by email if this is correct, my email is bobbitalbert@yahoo.com or message me on here. Delbert would have been born in Greenup County, KY. John and Josephine divorced when he was around 2 years old.

Linda ,
Hi I think I am your second cousin. Your grandfather Clifford and my grandfather Larkin William Frazier are brothers. I think. There is also a Clifford , Cleote, Adalea , and Evelyn. They were all from orange or vidor Texas. My grandfather was born in 1925. And if I remember correct he said once he thought his brother Clifford was in Oregon. Write back and maybe we can tie it together or no. My grandfathers mother was named Ouida or Ouida Day. Hope this is connected. I know alot about my mothers side but very little about my family from Texas.

Thanks. Jason Frazier.

I'm not sure if any migrated to or from paris, texas.e
.
Now some names. The earliest that I can find is Moses Frazie.I guess he was born around 1910. He married Mamie Eugene and had Mozelle Earnastine Frazier in 1931. Mozelle Frazier married Hillery Kelley and had Samuel lee Kelley. He had a child with Barbara Ann Lackey and named Leetron Frazier.

Hope this helps somehow.

I looked at the census for 1850, then the 1840 to see who was around. Also went to fold 3 site, which gave references. Fold 3 can charge, but it's mostly free, & I think this probably is, too. It's the new LDS site, www.familysearch.org I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were speaking to me! I know about my Martin Frazier, and didn't keep a record of what I'd done. Apparently I looked up James. (That was a couple of days ago, and sometimes, when doing genea, that can be aeons ago in knowing how one got from hither to WAY beyond! Lots of water over the dam since I did that! I sincerely hope it helps, though; brick walls can really be frustrating! Check out the new LDS; when it gives information, it really does a good job; but it CAN drive a person batty first! I find a LOT of spouses, dates, other stuff there, and lots of it IS documented with references. Very good! LOL Keep your chin up, and don't be afraid to use the pre-1850 censuses---sketchy, but not to be neglected. They follow patterns, which are easy to learn once one gets the hang of them...Good luck! rcr

The record below is not for Celia (an added bonus!) but for her child. Can be confusing! I always need to read first, then decide what it's REALLY saying!
I have not run across Celia. Do you know where you found her? To add to your files, my mother left me this info. She was pretty meticulous. Martin Frazier was born 22 May 1820 in TN, probably in Knox Countyty. In the 1870 Census he was listed as a farmer with land worth $1800 and property worth $654. I have not been able to find out who is parents were but this census gives their birthplaces as TN.

On 27 June 1844 he married Sarah Widener in Knox Cty, TN. They had seven children: Henry Frazier (m. Eliz Creswell), James A Frazier (Married Sarah Dykes and Mary A Thomas) Mary Ellen (who is in my line), sarah, Margaret (married George T. Galyen), Narcissa (Married Wm Wilhite and Davis Frazier (married Cordie Dykes.

In the 1900 census Martin was living with his son Henry after the death of his wife. He died 25 March, 1901, and is buried in Seven Islands Cemetery, Knoxvill, TN. His sons Henry and James and their wives are buried there too.

Re: Martin Frazier

I checked earlier censuses; Martin married Sarah Widener b 1828 TN on 25 June 1844 Knox Co, Th. Going to the 1840 Knox Co census gives Wm Frazier, who in 1840 had 2 sons aged 15<20, born 1820-25. Samuel b 1824 was still home in 1850 with his widowed mother, Sarah PICKLE or Peikle, while the other right-aged son, probably Martin was out of the house and on his own. Martin & wife Sarah Widener are also in the 1850 Knox Co census.

William Frazier married Sarah Pickle (Peikle) 14 Sept 1815 in Knox Co, TN. William died between 1840 and 1850 census times. Sarah PICKLE Frazier had relatives in Knox as well; William Pickle b 1795 Tn married Polly Swader 18 Oct 1817 in Knox Co. He's a likely brother of Wm Frazier's wife.

I didn't go further, but perhaps can help if you need it, but I hate to deprive you of the fun of further searches.
According to the 1850 Knox Co census, Martin had siblings ranging in age from 10 to 26. Happy hunting! LOL

I, too, have a Martin Frazier b ~1805 in Ohio---not much on him---he was a riverboat captain on the Ohio, was in California for the gold rush, was in NY with a ward, and died in Cincinnati. If anyone knows anything about him, I'd be glad of more information. I accept him as a son of
John Frazier b~1781 Maryland + Sally PUCKETT Frazier ~1785 Va. So your Martin & William may well be relatives of my
Martin....
Ruth

Frazier family of spotsylvania co. Virginia

I am looking for some info on the Fraser line from Spotsylvania county virgina. Any info would be good but I am wanting to confirm the infor I have on James Benjamin Frazier 1730-16 feb 1775 who married Elizabeth foster 1744-1807.
Some list James' father as William Frazier1705-1734 who married Amey Nalle from Essex county virginia. I can't confirm their marrige, but in a will of her mother, Amey is reffered to as Amey Nalle Frazier.
One of the complications is in a Sons of the American Revoulition application that lists James Frazier who married Elizabeth foster as being born in Scotland as well as his father William who was also born in Scotland.
Anyone have any thoughts or insights to the above frazier line?

Thanks,
Rob

Bonnie
I ran across this information years ago when I started researching my family. This web site had some postings about the murders. I have done extensive research on this and have all the documents to back my findings. Creed Frazier and his son Willie were the two murdered by John Barnett in Speers Ferry close to the Clinch River in 1927. Creed is not related to this side of the Frazier's you mention. Creed's parents were William A. and Emily Taylor Frazier. I know the Frazier group you are talking about and I think they may be from Wise. There was another Creed who died a few years back. Not related to my side (as far as I know)Some had Creed and Willie as brothers and cousins to the Barnett's. Creed and Willie are father/son and not related to the Frazier/Barnett side. William (Creeds father) is John S Frazier and John's father is Thomas L. Frazier. I know a lot of stories get handed down through the generations. I have always tried to prove them one way or the other. I hope this at least gets this part resolved for you. Thanks for taking the time to reply back.
Thanks

Gary
I am trying to find ancestors of Daniel Frazier. I know that he died 1819 in Tennessee. I am stumped trying to find out where he was born. I did find a book that mentioned he was from the East. Possibly New Jersey or Massachussetts? I believe he was born between 1750 and 1760. His son, Ebenezer, moved to Texas and is gg grandfather, making Daniel my ggg grandfather.

We need to figure out how we are connected. Creed Frazier was my Great Grandfather and he and his son were shot by John Barnett. Willie (son) died instantly and Creed died a few hours later. I have a book I put together on the murders. It is court papers, news paper articles etc. Do you know how you are related to Creed Frazier? I have added a lot of pictures to the Scott County Historical Society's web site of the Fraziers.
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~vaschs2/gary_frazier.htm
Thanks

Gary
I do not have these names in my list. I know there was another Creed Frazier that passed away just a few years ago that lived in Clinchport in Scott County Va. I think his mother was a Bishop, not real sure on that. Your line if they are from Scott County may be this Creed Frazier?
Thanks

Gary
