Laura Dorothy Freke, 85, Shell Knob, died Wednesday, November 3, at St. John's Hospital in Cassville.
She was born June 7, 1919, at Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of John and Josephine Strantz Parcell. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Shell Knob.
She married Vernon Dale Freke on February 4, 1940, at Aurora, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1982.
She is survived by a son, Steve Freke, Shell Knob and one sister, Ella Flynn, Tucson, Arizona.
A daughter, Sandra Lee Dahn, in 1988, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2004, at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating, under the direction of Williams Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Burial will be at Rivers Hill Memorial Park, Batavia, Illinois at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shell Knob Alliance of Churches in care of the funeral home.
