My grandfather is Herman August Frieda . He married a Vera Masters from what I have been told . Still can't find it . Iknow he then married my grandmother Irma Anis Nash . His parents are Winz J Frieda ( ie, W J Frieda , Jim Frieda ) Mother Jane Sparck Frieda . I am still looking for any and all info on this line . I will help you if I can . Thanks Pam

I only found my aunt Johanna Sparck Fireda 9-1-01 in the 1910 Knippa, Uvalde Co., Texas census. It listed her with a W.J. Frieda b. 1882 her name as Jane w/two sons and his brother John Frieda b. 1877. The family line tells of her marring a Freida and living in Floresville, Tx. I have found that the family moved to Floresville later not sure when. The census says W.J. Frieda was born in Germany. That is all I know. You can find this census in Pre#7 Enu 15/127 sheet# 210B line 96-100. They are also in the 1920 census there. But not in the 1930 census. I have yet to complete my search in that census.
I am looking to tie him with his family. With his age and the census loss of 1890 it is going to be hard without some other form of document that list his parents. I have all of my aunts info. If we connect info on him to your family I can supply you his spouse info or you can get it on the net as I have posted it on the SPARCK /DICKE rootsweb sites.
Nice to hear from you again. I have not been doing any research lately as I just lost my mother. But I hope to soon get back at it. Thanks, EVE

Hi!

The earliest FRIEDAs I have is Frank Joseph FRIEDA b. 31 Oct 1845 Bohemia, m. Magdalena SCHWARTZ b. 4 Apr 1842 Bohemia. Both d. 1915 in Hallettsville, Lavaca County, TX.

My husband's line come from Frank Joseph FRIEDA Jr, who m. Louise PONISH. This branch of the family wound up on Burleson County, TX.

I would enjoy hearing from you if we connect somewhere.

My husband's line is FRIEDA, mostly in Lavaca and Burleson Counties, Texas. I don't think I have your James but perhaps I have other siblings. Based upon the location you mention, we are probably searching the same line. Feel free to email me directly if you want.

My aunt Johanna Sparck (aka; Jaine Sparks) married a man name James Frieda (aka: W.J. & Jim Frieda) in 1906 but I don't know where. I have found them in the 1910 & 1920 Uvalde Co. Texas Census with there children, Henry, Herman, Herbert, Hilda, John, Anita, Willie and Emil Frieda. I also would like to find out where they both died. Some of the children moved to San Antonio, Texas and some moved to Floresville, Texas. I hope to find someone who has this James or William James Frieda in there family line and can help me with this family. I need to know of parents. Johanna lived in Lavaca Co. and may have moved to the DeWitt Co. area, not sure before 1910. Hope to here from someone someday......hopeful EVE
