Hello
In reading the post from Judymcilvaine_1 it sounds like she lives in the Philadelphia area.

If so, would you email me at Woodsyhill@aol.com? I having been searching for my Great Grandmother Anna Rohrer who was suppose to have been born in Philadelphia in 1851. Our search to find her birth record and any other Rohrer family records has not been successful.

Possible there are some Philadelphia sites that could be contacted or searched on line?

Another of my families is Joseph Friedrich. He has been difficult to find also in European, particularly German records. As far as we know none of the Friedrich family lived in Hungary. Good luck in your research.

Thanks
Marj Braun

Looking for origin and family of Adam Friedrich who arrived at NYC in 1891 from Germany.

Wife was Friedricke 'Frieda' Maier/Meyer and they had Albert, Henry (WWI Vet), Joseph and Helen. In 1900, the family lived on East 1st Street, NYC and later on East 14th Street.

In 1900 Adam's occupation was listed as 'iron worker'. I believe he died in Jan 1905.

One factor compounding my search is the many and various spellings of their surname FRIEDRICH on official documents - Fredrick, Fredricks, Frederich, etc.
Looking for Karl and Hermine Friedrich family

My great grandparents names were Karl and Hermine Friedrich and their daughter, my grandma was Maria Hermine Friedrich born Sept.5th 1897. They were originally from Oberleutensdorf, Bez. Brux. My grandmother married Martin Baumgartl on Feb.7th 1932 in Eger. She died there Oct.15th 1938. I''m not sure if the whole family moved to Eger at that time or did the rest of the Friedrich's stay in Oberleutensdorf? I know my great grandparents did attend the wedding. Has anyone been lucky so far to find living relatives this way? If you have any info that could help me I'd appreciate it.

I'm not sure if we're related or not. My GGGrandfather was born around 1840, Johann Friedrichs. Sailed on passenger ships back and forth to Germany. He married Mete Hedemann. They were from Bremen. She died around 1940 at the age of 97. My GGrandfather was Friedrich (Friedrich) Friedrichs who came to the US 1879-1880, born in Germany in 1865. Stayed with a Dora Keating somewhere in the north until moving to Charleston, SC. Met and married Anna Catherine Christina Hulseberg on 12/18/1889. Raised a family of 10 children. Catherine died in 1969 of flu epidemic.

Hello Lorry

I do not know if we are related or not.
My Friedrich line is this: Josef Friedrich and Josepha Schuh arrived in NY Port 1-1854 on the boat Carolus Magnus. In Feb 1854 they were married in Huron County Ohio. In July 1854 they were living somewhere in that area of Ohio with their son John. In 1860 they had moved to Putnam County Ohio and lived in that county the rest of their life.

However 1 of their sons , Frank, moved to Celina, Mercer County, Ohio with his family.
I'm also related to both a Friedrich AND a FrieRDich. My relatives in the FRIERDICH line (paternal) originally come from a John Adam Frierdich & Anna Maria - early 1700's from Deidesheim, Bavaria. My line continues through a son Heinrich w m. Barbara Schellhorn; then Matthew w m. Catherine Mentel, thren Jacob who m. Anna Rapp, to John C who m. Bertha Kleyer and then my g grandfather Otto who m. Mary B. Schallom. Jacob came to settle in Monroe County, Columbia ILL.

On the maternal side of my family, is a Magdalena FRIEDRICH b. 7-9-1837(father - Joseph m. to Juditha Schubert) who m. Joseph Schramm and then goes into my Michalek line from one of their children marrying an Anton Michalek. This family was from Moravia.

Any connections on any of the above?

Hello

I too am of Friedrich ancestry . Our Josef Friedrich probably lived in Baden , possibly the Rastatt area. Is your Friedrich relative from near there? I am not sure where Prussia was in the 1800's.

Have you any German archives sites that you could email? I have tried the Stuggart and Freiburg archives without success in finding our Josef.

Thanks so much. Please email to Woodsyhill@aol.com if you prefer.

Marj

Your old message was recently gatewayed to me re: Friedrich. There doesn't seem to be any connection to my FREDRICH as my grandparents always lived in Wisconsin after arriving in the 1890s. Merrill and Milwaukee Wisconsin. I trace them back to Kreis Wirsitz Posen Prussia. Sorry cant be of any help to you. Betty Fredrich-Krummel

John & Wilhelmina Friedrich are my great grandparents. I have found very little in regards to their ancestry and have assumed that they never participated in the census. Although I have not been very successful, I continue to look, so if you send me your contact information, I will let you know if I learn anything.

WENZEL & AGNES (URBANECK) FRIEDRICH

Looking for details & PHOTOS IF YOU HAVE ANY!

Researching Friedrich family ~ trying to connect my 2nd greatgrandfather John Friedrich (b. 11 Dec 1858 Baden Germany ~ d. 14 May 1921 Greenfield, NH).

DOES ANYONE KNOW WENZEL & AGNES FRIEDRICH's entire list of children? I know of Albert, Ed for sure, and maybe Arnold & Lena. Online bio tells of 7 children. Could be more if they had infants who deceased. I was thinking my 2nd g-grandfather could be one of the children but just a guess so far.

My 2nd g-grandfather is definitely related somehow to Wenzel & his sons Albert (of Buckhorn Saloon fame) & Ed (of Friedrich Refrigeration / Air Conditioning) ~ all from San Antonio. Family notes mention George Friedrich (of Friedrich Refrigeration, TX) going to Fitchburg, MA (maybe in the 1930's) to see a refrigeration unit installation by an uncle Henry Friedrich in my family and they both realized they had the same uncle (named George Friedrich of Fitchburg, MA) and laughed as they just realized they were cousins! I have no idea which George & Henry Friedrich of Fitchburg they are exactly or any dates, to be able to fit them in my tree. I entered some info on my online tree but it's a work in progress and very well may not be entirely accurate and subject to correction. But it's a start.

Here's info on Wenzel & Agnes & sons if anyone can help me out in completing this family I sure would appreciate it!

Wenzel Friedrich
B:02 Jul 1827
Grunthal Bohemia
D:07 Nov 1902
San Antonio, TX, USA

Agnes Urbaneck
Birth: 14 Nov 1835
Preussen (Prussia)
Death: 20 Jan 1910
TX

Albert Friedrich (Wife Emilie Derr)
Birth: 7 Jun 1864
Death: 27 Nov 1928

Edward Friedrich (Wife Minnie _____)
Birth: 1860
Death: 1951

Thanks so much for helping me out! They with their two youngest children (August and Anna Marie) immigrated to the USA the end of March 1904 arriving at Ellis Island April 2, 1904 aboard the SS Patricia, from Hamburg, Germany. They came to Alexandria, SD were their eldest son Carl/Karl Henry Mueller (b. 18 Dec 1874) was living. She is listed in Hanson Co., SD in the 1910, 1920, & 1930 US Fed Census. She died 7 May 1934, in Alexandria, SD and is buried at the Greenhill Cemetery near Alexandria, SD.

Henry or Heinrich Christian Friedrich was born in Germany 5 Jan 1861. He married Wilhelmine Wunder Hamann (b. 17 Feb 1866) about 1882 in Germany. They with their four eldest children immigrated to the USA in April 1898 arriving at Baltimore on 28 Apr 1898 aboard the SS Dresden, settling with her brother in Alexandria, SD. He died 20 Oct 1940 in Hanson Co., SD and is buried at the Greenhill Cemetery near Alexandria, SD.
Hi,

The original post in this thread was from 2001, it may be that person is not watching this thread any longer so you may not hear back. The Friedrich family in my husband's tree called themselves "Prussian" early on. The furthest back we have gone is Michael Friedrich (no dates yet) to his son Gottlieb Friedrich b 1829 Palauija, Prussia, Germany, d 1890 Oshkosh, Winnebago, WI. His son Gustave, my husband's g-grandfather is thought to have been born in Magalow, Bromberg in 1849. Most of the members of this Friedrich family lived around Oshkosh, WI.

Roberta

My Grandfather's name was Henry Fredricks. I just learned that he may have changed the spelling from Friedrich. He lived in Arco, Minnesota for much of his life. He married Frieda Alleckson.
I know nothing about his family and would appreciate any information sent to:
studio_gigi@yahoo.com
Thanks!

I know your orginal post was quite some time ago, but I just found it now. Theodor was also my GGgrandfather and I do have some info regarding him and his family. His oldest son Henrich is my great granfather, and his daughter Martina is my grandmother. Please contact me if you want to pursue this.

Re: George, Heinrich Carl and Mathilde FRIEDRICH

Since I posted this message, my e-mail address has changed to kdchrist@sbcglobal.net.

I still am searching for the FRIEDRICH's, but am unsure of the parents I listed in my other post in 2002.

George Phillip FRIEDRICH, born 15 July 1835 married Elizabeth FRITZ, born 1 April 1841 on 10 Jan 1861 in Missouri USA. One of the Missouri Census' states that George was born in Hessen-Darmstadt and Elizabeth FRITZ was born in Baden. Elizabeth's death certificate lists her father as John FRITZ and her mother as UNKNOWN. Familysearch.org has an Elisabeta FRITZ with a christening date of 1 April 1841 in Forbach, Baden.

George's death certificate lists his parents as George FRIEDRICH and Anna (difficult to read surname of mother) could be BARKER, BARLER, BURLER and several other possibilities.

If any of these people's info rings a bell with anyone, I would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Debbie Christ
St. Louis, MO
