I am looking for any information on Thomas Frith born 1786 in Great Marlow Buckinghamshire. He married Maria who was also born in Great Marlow in 1790. They had a daughter Eliza in 1820. I would be grateful for anything on the Frith family from Marlow

Hello Ken
I have a Thomas Frith in my family chain who lived in Gt. Marlow and he married an Elizabeth Sands in G.M. in 1792. I know he can't be the same Thomas but he must be related, do you have any further info.?
Regards Ron.

Hi everyone

I have a two Thomas Friths in my direct line. The father born 1770 in great Marlow, who married Elizabeth King (I thought) in 1792. He died in 1836, she died in 1857 and they had 7 children, the eldest of whom was Thomas born 1795. He is my great, great, great, great grandfather!

This Thomas died in 1864 and married twice........it was from his seconf marriage that he had Charles Thomas, born in great Marlow in 1839 who is my ancestor!

anyone know anything about these.....

Robert

Hi Robert, My ancestor Thomas Frith born 1786 Gt Marlow married Maria Reading / Redding at Gt Marlow 13.04,1811, (my 2 x gt grandparents) I have been unable to find Thomas's parents. Also I have a Thomas Frith who married Elizabeth Martin, sister of my 2xgt grandmother Martha Martin. Regarding Thomas Frith's marriage to Elizabeth King 24.12.1792, there could be a problem as there was a marriage to a Thomas Frith & an Elizabeth Sands 10.04.1792. In the baptismal records, (I only have them from 1800-1874) could be confusing with the children, who was born to who, there are 2 Elizabeth's one baptised 2.5.1802 the other baptised 18.7.1802. I have the baptisms of the various children from these marriages if you require them. Have female marriages for the Frith's of Gt Marlow from 1593-1924, & male marriages from 1593-1917, if they would be of any help, contact me. Best of luck in your research.

Thanks Ken, It was nearly 10 years ago, I commissioned someone to do all this research and for some reason I went on to google and typed Thomas Frith, Great Marlow and saw your entry. So I would need to check all the records to see if they are right.............it was fun at the time, but am very busy at the moment.......Robert

Hi Robert. Thomas Frith and Elizabeth Sands appear to be my ancestors. Ken Harris's reply has most of the details as I got most of my information from him. Look at my tree on <www.Genesreunited.co.uk/>; or <www.tribalpages.com/>;
Regards Ron. Frith

Hello Robert. My details on the Tribalpages site are under ' The Frith Family, Home Counties, UK.' I have lived in Dunstable, Beds. this last 44 years but I originally hailed from Willesden. Ronald was a popular christian name in the twenties & thirties & earlier but seems to be rare now. Regards Ron
