Hello again, the lady that contributed to Wishful site is Andrea, she is my cousins daughter and we are working together on the Frith family.
I think I have given you the wrong date of marriage for Mary Frith. You stated 1834. Goodness knows where I came up with that date its Q2 1842. Is that any help. Regards Margaret

Sorry, me again. I have had another look at IGI and Ancestry. IGI state 1834 but rechecking Ancestry Mary isnt on the 1841 census under Frith which rules out my date. However, under the name of White she is with Robert. What bothers me is their eldest child is Martha age 11. That means she would have been born c1830, 4yrs even before the IGI date. Now I am confused also. Regards Margaret

I should add that she was Robert's first wife. When he married Elizabeth SHELDON in 1840, Robert was entered as widow - so I'm told. I don't know of any kids from the first marriage.

Margaret, I don't know if you can help - I've posted this separately, but I'm trying to track down a Joseph Frith, cabinet maker. I don't know where he's from unfortunatley, but his son William was a mariner, married a France Anne Johns in Pembroke Dock (maybe his ship was in dock there?) in 1862 - he was of age (big help!). They had several children but he never appeared on any census with her and she re-married in 1874. I've trawled other census's for a Joseph Frith who was a cabinet maker who may have had a son of William but to no avail so far - is there anyone matching this description in your tree? Thanks!
