Am seeking to contact any relatives of Thomas Didymus Frith. Husband of Caroline Wingfield. Residents of Franklin County, VA.

My Great-great grandfather was Thomas Didimus Frith. My family comes from Perry, FL, before that from Dothan, AL, before that GA, and before that VA. I am trying to find out as much as possible.
I believe he was born in either 1795 or 1797 or 12/7/1805 and died 1/19/1876.
He was married to Ada Lourinda(Louida) Bartlett (1829 - 11/1899). We believe he was married 3 0r 4 times. We are decendents of his last wife. He came from VA. to GA. in the 1820's and is buried at the Rehobeth Cemetary on US Highway 82, Randoph County, GA. near Dawson. His last wife is buried at Howard's Grove Cemetary in Houston Co.,AL. south of Dothan.
By this marriage he had my great-granddad Patrick Henry (1857), also Nancy M.(1858), Benjamin(1860), Sidney(1862), Luida(1864), Wm. Robert Lee(10/1867-12/31/1940), Alice E.(4/26/1870), and Florence(1869).
His second marriage was to Masiah(1813- ) in North Carolina. His children by this marriage were Lasa(1829), John(1829), E. S.(1831), Franklin(1831), Absolm(1833), William Skiles(1833), Fredonia(1835), Indiana(1840), Thomas(1842), Joseph(1844), James(1846), Ella(1847). All born in GA.
I am suppose to have a full-bloodied Cherokee before him. I have no history that far back. It may have been his mother or grandmother or his wife's mother or grandmother. I am also interested in finding out as much as I can if you have any other info PLEASE email me and let's get to know each other.

My grandmother, Rena Mae Frith Wall b. 8/3/20 in Coleman, GA, was the daughter of James Edward Frith b. 1890 d. 1944 and Mamie Irene Watson b. 3/7/1886 d. 1959. James was a farmer and grocer in Randolph County. That's as far back as I can trace since my grandmother died in 1995. She had 3 brothers: James Edward (1923), Council Calvin (1925), and Paul David (1928) and 2 sisters: Anna Catherine (1915), and Dorothy Watson (1918). I think only Dorothy is still living (in Columbus, GA). If anyone knows how my Great grandfather is connected to this clan, please give me some leads. All I know if that my great-greats all died prior to my grandmother's birth in 1920.

sorry no info no mention of name in T.D. records also 2 other brothers of T.D. Christopher Columbus Frith and another brother.

The Thomas Frith who married Caroline Wingfield is not the Thomas Didymus Frith who Married Ada Lourinda Bartlett

Hello, This Thomas Didimus Frith who married Caroline Cook Wingfield was the son of Thomas Didimus Firth, Sr. who married Martha Elizabeth Scarborough, April 4, 1817 in Franklin County,. Virginia. I have more information on this family that might add to your line.

Could your Friths be the same as mine my GreatGrandfather was Samuel Wingfield Frith but I do not know who his parents were . Samuel Frith married a Susan Charlotte Hall and they lived somewhere around Ronoke Va.Samuel was born I believe the month is March 21, 1859, Susan was born June 22, 1864 . Children of Samuel and Susan were Mary, Sarah, Lula, Allie, and George any info appreciated as this line is new to me but Allie was my grandmother on my mothers side Allie moved to Ga but I believe all others remained in Va.

Your Friths and mine are the same. Your GG grandfather, Samuel Wingfield Frith, was the son of Robert Rudd Frith and Mary Elizabeth Waggoner. Robert Rudd Frith's brother, Jacob Austin Frith was my gg grandfather. I have lots of Frith information and will share whatever I have. I would especially like to have any information on the children of Samuel and Susan Charlotte. I did not have their names and would love to have any vitals that you have on them.
