In the 1901 census she was living with her son in Wright Quebec, she was 64 years. I know when her son and daughter-in-law died, but I haven't found anything for Dorothy after 1901. Dorothy was born in Ontario in 1836. Her family is in the 1871 census in Carleton Ottawa. Her son's name was James Henry Gainford. He married Martha Guest on 18 May 1782 in Egremont, Cumberland.<br>They had six children, John 1783 , William 1788, Henry 1790, Mary 1794 , Joseph 1796, Isaac and Martha, twins born 1799.<br>Does anyone have any connections? I'm interested in finding out more about Henry's background.
