I am looking for evidence that Juan Chrisostomo Galindo obtained some land or buildings of the Santa Clara Mission in the secularization process of 1833 to 1837.

i recently met my dads family his name is maurico montenegro and his mother name is veena aparico her mother name was amanda aparicio there from el salvador and they lived in san francisco and alino- i dont know if i spelled that right was i believe her husband. well anyways my great grandma manda which is amanda recently died about 2 years ago. my grandma veena tells me her mother had 13 children i think only 6 of them survived. my grandma lives in florda so does my aunt yoanna so i could ask them about spain? I know some where down the line someone married a rich lawyer or something because my grandma veena says they were very poor when they were young. but I will ask. by the way my name is stephanie you could email me at jack408ws@gmail.com

Do you know any siblings names for jose galindo? What approx age is/would he be? Are there any connections to contra costa county, ca? Maria Antonia Galindo is my GGG grandmother, her brother Francisco was co-founder of Concord, CA. I have yet to research more Galindos.....let me know if you find anything.....Happy Hunting!

Was Pedro married to Sara Cantu, son Arturo born in Monterrey in 1911? And a daughter born later (1920's) named Olivia? Both of these children settled in Laredo.

Does any of this sound familiar? I have not been able to trace any further back than that. Arturo is my grandfather.

My grandfather was from Monterrey. His parents were Pedro Galindo and Sara Cantu. He was Arturo Galindo 1911-1975, had a brother Jose Galindo - who I can only find a birth record on, and a sister Olivia Galindo Trevino.
I believe Arturo was born in Monterrey and Jose in Laredo, Texas. Arturo had 4 children, Hilda, Naomi, Sara and Arturo Jr.

My grandfather was Arturo Galindo from Monterrey Mexico and lived most of his life in Laredo. He was divorced, never remarried as far as I know, but did live with a woman. He died in 1975.

My grandfather Arturo Galindo born 1911 to Pedro Galindo and Sara Cantu. There is a birth listing for Jose Galindo in 1913, but I can find no more information on him. I believe Pedro and Sara came from Monterrey Mexico. They had a daughter, Olivia around 1922. That is all I know so far. Arturo and Olivia lived and raised families in Laredo, Texas.

I came across this post and realized our family have the same last name and believe came from Coahuila, Mexico. According to my mom we have or had relatives in Cuatro Cienegas, La Madrid, and Monclova, Coahuila. My grandmother's name was Maria Galindo Guajardo, her father was Claudio Galindo Carranza first cousin of Venustiano Carranza former President of Mexico. How cool is that?
