They were married about 1775-1785.

Looking for any information on my grandmother, Carlota Galvan Martinez, and/ or the Galvan family. She was married to Jose B. Martinez and they had 3 children, Rosalie(my mother)Paul and Jose Lee. She worked for Gladys Porter as a housekeeper(I believe). I have names of her parents but have yet to find her in any of the census forms along with them. The only thing I can find is her is on the ss death index but that doesn't give me any information that will help me locate her family. Thank you for any help.

I am a Galvan also and have a family tree in Ancestry.com. Galvan is of Irish descent and means the Handsome One. My Galvan people came from Ireland to Spain then to Mexico and settled in Santa Fe Del Rio Michoacan de Ocampo Mexico before arriving to the USA in 1920s and settled in Turlock, CA in the 1930s. My Grand parent's are Sebastian Galvan and Esther Sisneros Galvan. Sebastian's parents were Remijio and Andrea Floras Galvan. and Remijio parent's were Ramon and Delores Caratachia Galvan all from Santa Fe Del Rio Michoacan de Ocampo Mexico. Do not know if any of these names ring a bell.

My Grandmother Carlota Galvan(B. 1 Nov 1900,D. 22 Feb 1984) passed away in Brownsville, Texas. I was not able to attend her funeral as I was overseas. In the Burial Visitor Book there were several Galvan's listed. Mr. & Mrs Jose F. Galvan, Frank Galvan, Amparo Galvan. Listed in my oldest siblings Birth book are the names Francisco Galvan, Mrs. Amparo Galvan and Mr. & Mrs. Francisco Galvan. I do not know if or how these people are related to her. From what I understand her father's name was Francisco Galvan(B.4 Oct 1875) and her mother's name was Vicenta(B. 1871). Also listed in her Burial Book is the name Sylvia Cantu. My grandmother Carlota, worked for the Seago Family in Brownsville. From what I understand she was married to my grandfather, Jose B. Martinez but I cannot find their marriage certificate. If anyone knows of my grandmother or her family please contact me. Thank you for your help !

Hi, I'm searching for the relatives of Antonio Galvan. According to my mother, he passed away in a tragic car accident (along with his cousin and friend) back in 1970 or 1971. At the time he was living in the San Fernando area in Los Angeles california maybe Pacoima, california. My mother indicated he and his family was from Texas, California. My Galvan family is mostly in the Rio Grande Valley. I did not grow up there. So, "Papa Manuel" does not sound familiar to me. I've been told that my great-grandfather, Manuel Galvan, came to the US from Spain and had blue eyes.

I am a Galvan(Galban)also. My father's family was from around Zamora,Mexico too. I know that there is alot of Galvan's. I also have family in California around Oxnard and other town's near by. I am the daughter of Antonio Garza Galvan. I don't know many of my Dad's family. He married my Mom Ida Marchan from Port Isabel Texas. My Grandfather's name was Antonio Rodriguez Galvan his wife's name was Esperanza Garza Galvan.

Both of my parents are from Pajacuaran Michoacan (close to Sahuayo)and we live in CA. My paternal grandfather has family in Mexico DF. I live in So Cal now but my parents and the rest of my family live in Nor Cal.

i don't know if i can help but i do no that my great grandparents lived in matehuala. my grandfather Pedro Garcia grew up in matehuala...my great grandfathers name is florentino garcia and, his wifes(my great grandmother)maidens name was eufracia ruiz....by the way my grandfather is 85 yrs. old and he was born in matehuala, san luis potosi....hopefully this helps out if not at least i tried..good luck

My family is originally from south Texas and Northern Mexico.

Ignacio Longoria and Lucia Galvan are on my father's side -- they are my father's great-great grandparents on his dad's side of the family. My great grandfather was Luciano Cavazos Longoria. His mother, Donaciana Longoria was Ignacio and Lucia's daughter, from what I can tell.

Records at familysearch.org list children Maria Donaciana (b. 1851), Manuel (b. 1850), and Maria Florencia (b. 1857). There could be more children, but those are the only ones that come up in a search.

There is a record of their marriage at ancestry.com on 17 NOV 1834, listing his parents as Urbano Longoria and Juana Baldes (or Valdes) and her parents as Felipe Galvan and Eufemia Vela.

Hello! I just saw this -- I found those two names just today while doing some research on my father's family. Lucia Galvan and Ignacio Longoria were my grandfather's great grandparents.

I was able to find them on the updated familysearch.org site. So far, I can only find one daughter Maria Donaciana Longoria, who was my grandfather's grandmother.

I think I know one of their sons Chris Galvan I used to go to school with him in long beach california, maybe he's the one ur llooking foor but I don't know his fathers first name, be he also told me his father was part brazilian part mexican so idk if he's the one ur looking for you can search him on facebook, his name is Chris Galvan :)

i am looking for anyone that could be related to the galvan family that lived in apatzingan michoacan mexico in 1970-1990. this period in time could be earlier or later. looking for grandparents teresa and nestor galvan, some of their children were irma galvan, sergio galvan, luis galvan, casandra galvan and leo galvan. some of these people are now residing in california, usa. if you have any information of any of these family members it would be greatly appreciated.
