John Cifford ganton is my father and mary my mother. any info I am here. I have 6 children and another on the way i am 70 years old, and live here in fontana wich my father was last resided at 7660 juniper and died at 7628 juniper. I have all papers if anyone needs and my wife Shannon is looking for more of our family. We are new at this site. My great grandmother was Mary Ganton (b 1866?) and married to Isaac Cook. Mary Ganton lived at some point in the Los Angeles area with her daughter (Janet Agnes Cook), and grand daughter (Mary Jean - my mother). At least from what information I have been given.

Well hello again! I purchased Rose's book last fall and it is indeed a great research tool. I haven't done too much on the Gantons, got sidetracked by my mother's family in Scotland. Found lots of new cousins. Are you still doing research? There are still holes in the family that need filling.

I am looking for information on Peter Ganton. He married Susan Beals in 1896 (second marriage for both of them). His parents were David and Janet Ganton. Peter was born around 1848. Susan's parents were George and Ann Lowry. I would like any info, especially Peter and Susan's death dates and burial place. Susan was my great grandfather's sister.

Ruth married Frederick Wm. McKee and they settled near North Bay, ON around 1914. I have hit a "dead-end" on this line. No one knows anything about Ruth's family. They are not on the 1901 census in Canada. Maybe they lived in U.S. at the time?

You mentioned Thomas' mothers name was Sarah Ganton. Was her maiden name Stone? I am researching the Stone family of Reach/SCugog Townships.
