My father is Manuel Garza. He was born in 1925 and died in 2006 (buried in San Antonio). Jesus (Jesse) and Valentin Jr. (Val) are deceased and buried in Brady (Resthaven? cemetery). My mother is Gloria Garza and she still lives in San Antonio, Texas. Val was born in 1923 and died in 1997. Jesse was born in 1927 and died in 1950. Cuca was born in June 1900 and died in October 1980. I would like to find out more information about Valentin and Rita. Do you know the name Eduvigen Segura? Jesse"s headstone lists his middle name as Segura and Val's headstone indicates his middle name starts with an
"S."

Does anyone know anything about this couple. I found one census report from 1910 that shows them married but, I could find no other records of them being together. I don't know if they had kids, she died, or they divorced.I know they would of lived in Texas in Duval County.

Her mother was Dolores Puig Ruiz, died April 4, 1914
My grandfather's parents were names Cenoveva Salinas n.d.
Salinas and Pedro Aguirre. All from south Teexas. My grandparentssx were married during 1906. Nordheim, Texas is the gneral loccation of my early ancestors. Any one have andy information about surviving family members. I would like to establish contact with you.

I have no information on her but I kind of found out that she might have been raised by a lady named Pricilla who had a son named wicho. She married my Great Grandfather in 1927 Jorge Cavazos where they went on to have 11 chidren. If anyone knows how I can find more information on her any help would be so very apprechated.

Looking for info on Juanita (Juana) Garza (maiden name and married name is Garza). Born about 1892 in Mexico. Married to Damas Garza. They had 13 children: Hanido, Estell, Louisa, Tracel, Vioul/Rioul/Triol, Daniel, Moises, Domingo, Maria Eva, Elvia, Alicia, Raul and Viola. They lived in Cameron County, Texas (Brownesville). She immigrated around 1915 I believe.

I can't remember if I ever wrote to you on Ancestry, but I think we're 2nd cousins.

If I'm correct, your sisters are Grace, Olga and a brother Victor. I met them as the Garza Reunion in San Antonio back in September. I was great meeting them for the first time and we had great time talking about our relatives and how we're related. I hope I get to see them again at the next reunion and meet you some day.

As for your post, I have alot of Natividad...

Born Jan of 1863. Not sure of the exact date because his baptism is dated Jan 3, 1863. He married Romana Biaz (could be Diaz, Baez, etc.?) in 1885. 1930 Census shows he was in Karnes City with the rest of his family, Felix, Domingo, Petra, Maria Guadalupe and Mercedes. Mercedes is my Grandfather.

Natividad's father was David Garza, born Sept 1937...again, not sure of the exact date, but he was baptised on September 3 1837. Nativiad's mother was Maria Sostenes Ramos, born abt 1845.

Going back one more...David Garza's parents are Rumaldo De la Garza and Maria Rita Maldonado. Maria Sostenes Ramos' parents were Cecilio Ramos and Carmen Garza.

I'm trying to find ancestor connections to my family. My father was Guadalupe B. Garza from Alice, my grandfather was Refugio De La Garza lived in Karnes County and perhaps in San Ignacio Texas. His father was Teodoro De La Garza and his wife was Simona Soliz. Both were born in Mexico and immigrated to the U.S. in 1865. I'd like to hear from anyone on this. Hope you're doing well. I think we have a related link and I hope I can be of some help.

My grandfather is Mecedes Baiz Garza (1907 - 1987). He had 4 siblings (Petra Garza Ramos, Felix Garza, Francisca Garza and a Domingo Garza) All were kids os Nataridath Garza (b1862) and Romana Baiz(b1868)

Their parents (my great-grandparents was Nataridath Garza (b1862) and Romana Baiz(b1868) These folks, including my grandfather had 5 kids - Perta Garza Ramos (1905-1996), Felix Garza (1897-1981), Francisca Garza and Domingo Garza.

Domingo was married to Virginia Acuna Garza (1900-1995) and had 4 kids - Garza, Margarita Garza Galindo, Guadalupe Garza and Gilberto Garza.

Domingos Parents are Natividad Garza (1863 - 1936) and Solidad (Thanks for the maiden name in your post!!!!!)

I have a few things on Natividad...

Born: January 3, 1863
Died: March 5, 1936

I actually have 3 letters typed by the individual he and the family worked for. These are basically letters of recommendation from the folks they worked for stating their full names and saying that were "honest, energetic healthy people and have always paid their way...". If you'd like, I'd be happy to send you some copies.

I live in Austin by the way. Would be great to share what ever else you might have!

not sure if we are related, but my Garza line is also from Santa Rosa, TX. The furthest I've been able to go back is to my Great grandparents:Romaldo Garza married Altagracia Garcia in 1905 in Cameron County, TX. Their children: Luis b.1909, Candelario b.1911, Pedro b.1913, Jose Maria, Hilaria, Alvina. Younger generations of Garza still in the valley, Corpus Christie, and Victoria, TX.

Looking for a Romaldo Garza, born 1884. As far as I know he married an Altagracia Garcia in 1905 and they had these children:
Luis b.1909,Candelario b. 1911, Pedro b.1913, Hilaria b.1915, Jose Maria b. ?, and Antonia b.?. Pedro Garcia Garza is my grandfather. He had two families in the Santa Rosa, Texas area. The family lived together until at least 1920. At some point soon after, the children were abandoned or given away by their parents.

If any one has any info, please reply. I am at a dead end on the Garza line and am looking for answers.

Obituary: Felia E. Garza

Felia E. Garza, 86, of Odessa passed away January 25, 2011 at Hospice House. She was born October 19, 1924 in Questa, New Mexico. She was a housekeeper for 30 years for John Ben Shepherd while working with the Shepherd's she had the opportunity to bake for and serve President Lyndon B. Johnson and Lady Bird. President Johnson always ordered Felia's German Chocolate Cake. She was one of the first families to be foster parents in Ector County.

She was preceded in death by husband, Valentino Rudy Garza, a daughter, Mary Delores Garza.

She is survived by daughters, Christina Garza Ramirez and Luis, Barbara Ann Jacobo both of Odessa, brothers, Morgan E. Nail Jr. of Albuquerque, Levi Jaramillo of Odessa, sister, Irene Poole of Cedar City, Utah, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Friday, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Funeral service will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

I'm looking for marriage records for my grandparents.Francisco Garza born 1876 and isabel Villarel born 1893.Their son, Luis/louis Garza was born 19 aug. 1909 in Laredo,Tx.I found a border crossing record for Isabel Villareal in july of 1910 where she was going to laredo, tx to be with her husband.The same record said that she had been in laredo,tx before.I'm thinking they may have been married in Mexico in the Sibinas Hildalgo Nuevo Leon area.Any help would be very appreciated.

I am fourth generation Severo Garza who grew up in Brownsville-Matamoros. I have run across very few Severo's, but the ones I have known-of have been Severo Garza's and from south Texas/northern Mexico, so we probably share some roots.

I don't believe our roots cross in the last four or five generations. My gr grandfather was Severo Garza Garcia (born 1848) from Camargo, Mexico and his father's name was Agapito Garza. There was a Severo Garza Vela, in Camargo in the late 19th Century.

I would be curious to know if you trace a Severo Garza (or de la Garza)back to the 18th or 17th century.

I know i have two blood brothers out there. One with the name Jose Garza and the other was Antonio Garza. I was called Raul but i was adopted and my name changed. All close in age. the oldest should be 22 or 23. We are from the Detroit area.
