Hello Stacy

I have another Welker Gaumer marriage, I just can't seem to find anyone else with it either.

This is on rootsweb. (Brentboy)

Any way I just broke through a 6 year black hole brik wall
and found these two up in my tree back two more generations tthan what I had ..

Calvin Lepley married Rebecca McElroy
who was daughter of Mary E. Baughman born 1820-1821 died 1865

She was the dau of Jacob Baughman born 1789/90 in MD or PA.

His first wife and mother of Mary E. was Rachel Welker born 1792 see below.

Do you know if Johann Jacob Gaumer and his wife, Maria Catherine Sowash(or Mary Catherine Showash, as I have found in other places) also had a child named Mary Catherine Gaumer (Born in Bedford, PN) who married William Welker (Born in Howard Township, Knox County, OH)? I know that sometimes sisters married brothers a lot back then, so I was wondering because Mary and William supposedly had a son named Enoch Welker who married Elizabeth Weihel, who are my husband's great-great grandparents. Our last name is Welker as well.

I have an ancester named Johannes Dietrich Gaumer born on 1/22/l722 in Ittingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg Germany. He died on Sept 22, 1794 in Allentown, Northampton PA. m. Mary Elisabetha Meinert born 8/10/1730 in Macoungie twp, LeHigh PA, died 1/17/1802 in Allentown PA. Their son was Johann Jacob born 4/15/1756 in PA, m. Maria Catherine Sowash born 12/30/1759. They had a daughter, Elizabeth born 1787, m. John Welker born 1787... which is my maiden name. John Welker is my great, great, great grandfather... I think that's enough 'greats', not sure, have to leave work now...

Franklin has been found. He was removed from his burial site near Rectortown after the Civil War and reburied in Arlington National Cemetery.

Albert Gaumer & Nora Davis *

Albert Gaumer & Nora Davis is my husband's great grandparents. According to a census he was born about 1886. I know he is deceased and probably buried in carroll county, indiana. In the census it has a son Harrison R listed. I know albert and nora had two more sons that we know of. Charles Dale and Wayne. Charles went by Dale most of the time. Does anyone know anything about these people?

So nice to hear from you. I did not know when Frecerick and Eva Maria Meinert came to America or the ship they came on. I suppose an arrival date of 1736 means that Maria Elisabetha was born before their arrival. I have no information on this line of the family and would be interested in anything that you know about them. Which of Maria Elisabetha and Johannas Dietrich Gaumer's children is your line? Mine is Johann Heinrich who married Anna Margaretha Meitzler. I have no information on the Meitzler line either. Do you need any information? If so perhaps I could help. Let me know. Neff’s Notes
The remains of Mrs. Charles S. Gaumer were brought from Slatington on Thursday morning and interred in the Unionville Cemetery. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scheirer. She reached the age of 23 years, 8 months and 12 days. Rev. J. B. Fox preached an eloquent sermon from St. John, 11:33. The pall-bearers Francis Remaly, Henry Deibert, Reuben Ruach and Tilghman Boyer. Undertaker Heintzelman, of Slatington, had charge of the funeral.

when he remarried it was to virgina P. sellers.
