Hello. I see that these messages date back to 2000 so maybe the people concerned are no longer reading them. However, I am Cheryl Gaydon and have my family tree (or rather my brother does) descending back from the Huguenots of Normandy. I am from the line of Gaydons commonly using the first name of Frances/Alexander/Richard and known to be based in Barnstable, Devon and Gaydon, Warwickshire. I know the trade of the family to be clock/watch makers. However, the trace I am interested in is the Huguenots. What does it mean, who were there, am I originally French (!), etc. Any info gratefully received.
