William Gearon born circa 1831, County Cork Ireland

I am looking for any information on William Gearon. I've encountered a number of different spellings/misspellings, including Grain, Gihon, Guerin, and Gueren. His wife's name was Catherine, but the only other information I have is that she was born in Ireland about 1817. I first found them on the 1860 US Census living in Boston MA with my great grandparents Patrick B. and Bridget(Barry)Downing. They moved with my GGPs to San Francisco CA in the early 1860's. Catherine died 8-3-1877, William died 9-30-1886, and they are both buried in the Downing family plot. There were no children listed in the censuses or obituaries. I would love to find out how they are related to my GGPs. Thanks in advance for any help.

I am researching Joseph Gearon (1880s) and Anna or Alice Nolan or Nilan from County Clare. It appears that you are Calvert's sister. I want to get the Nolan/Nilan straight to continue research for Cal.

MY FATHER PETER JOSEPH GEARON HAD TWO CHILDREN, FROM A PREVIOUS MARRAGE ,WHO I HAVE NEVER MET AND I FOUND OUT WHEN I WAS 30, NOW I AM 57, I HAVE A BROTHER CALVERT ,MY DAD WAS BORN IN N.Y HAD A BROTHER JAMES AND TWO SISTERS ALICE,WHO WAS BLIND. I am searching for a James Gearon who married Mary Doolan.(daughter of Daniel Doolan and Honora Sullivan)
They had a child John Joseph Gearon who was born in London in about 1846 and who later settled in Australia. I was hoping someone knew more information about James if so it would be greatly appreciated.

my father peter gearon born in ny in1909 august 7 had a brother james two sisters anna a half brother joseph ,my father had two children a girl catherine? and a boy who was a n .y police officer nickname skip?I was given this information after my father died.his mothers name was alice nilan from ireland his parents died when he was about 9 he was placed in st vincents orphanage in manhatten.kmy mothers name was rita and i have a brother calvert gearon i have 3 children and my brother has 3 children.and i know anna had a boy which i never met. my father had a sister that was blind.if either of these people are alive e mail me at sadona1946 @aol. com claire gearon
