Gillespie's in New York/New Jersey?

Classification: Query
Surnames: Gillespie, Sexton, Saxton, Saxon
My GGGgrandfather was John Gillespie Sexton, b.1793 to William Sexton & Martha Youmans in New Durham, N.J. Maybe I'm making too big a leap here: John's brother Henry has their mother's maiden name as his middle name. Because of that, I think it's possible that John's middle name of Gillespie is from his father's side, perhaps William Sexton's MOTHER's maiden name? (Gillespie is NOT from the Youmans family).
Does any one have a Gillespie who married a Sexton/Saxton/Saxon in N.J. or perhaps N.Y. in the mid-1750's or so? (The year range for this marriage is hard to pin down, as not much is known about William Sexton. Martha Youmans Sexton was b.abt 1768 so William Sexton was probably born around that same time?)
Any help would be appreciated.
