He was the husband of Maria Leza and they were the parents of Francisco Jr., Therese, Rosalinda, and Nora.

My surname is Dans and my family immigrated from Spain to the US (NY) in the early 1900s. There is another thread with a whole Dans family branch in Austrailia, originating in the UK. Since this thread goes back to Holland, I am curious if anyone found info on UK Dans immigration to Holland or Spain.

Also, are there family trees that can graphically connect all the branches since clearly we are a global clan at this point.

Maximino Gonzalez, 84, of Erie,PA,
died Mon., April 30, 2012 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 12, 1927 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, son of the late Andres Miranda Mercado and Bibiana Gonzalez Rodriguez.
After moving to the U.S. in 1951,
he went to work for Norfolk & Western Railroad
where he was employed for 34 years.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Martha E. Post Gonzalez, in 2011.
and a son, Terrance L. Gonzalez.
Survivors include two daughters, Guila Bennett and husband Richard and Martha Murray and husband Otis, all of Erie; three sons, Maxie Gonzalez, James Gonzalez and wife Wendy, and Anthony Dovishak, all of Erie; and numerous brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one soon-to-be great-great-granddaughter. Friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Thursday 2 to 4 p.m and 7 p.m. until time of service there at 8 p.m. The Rev. James Gutting will officiate. We do not have much information about my dad's dad. My dad's mother (Manuela Luna)met him in Mexico and they had a child in 1947. I don't believe they were ever married. Luis may have been born around 1925 (give or take some years) and at one point resided in Naica, Mexico. Thank you

Hi Lula Arce Gonzalez Carlson was my great grandmother. While she was married to Neville for only a short time she did not care for or raise her step son. Sorry I hope this helps you in your search for Neville's son. Unfortunately my grandfather has since passed away therefore I can not gather any information on his step brother either.

Nicanor Domingo Rodriguez, 85, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Oak Hill Hospital.

He moved from Queens, NY. He was and owner/operator of Santos Van Company. He was a mason and a WWII US Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife Carmen.

Found this Obit in the Hernando Today newspaper dated Dec. 30th 2005

I know he and his family lived in NY City in the 1940's. His mothers name was Maria Santos. He had 3 daughters with my grandmother Ellowene before divorcing her. Ruben Bustamante Gonsalez, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.
There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place. A vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, N.M. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ruben Bustamante Gonsalez was born in Loving, N.M., on Feb. 16, 1932, to Manuel and Consuelo Gonsalez. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1956. Ruben married Rosie Briones in 1959 and they had five beautiful children. He was the owner and operator of the Rex Bar. Ruben was a lifetime member of the San Jose Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign War and American Legion. He was a spokesperson and active member of the New Mexico Senior Olympics winning medals in several track and field events, cycling and billiards. He enjoyed woodworking, running and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his mother; father;, one sister; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Gonsalez; children: Rhonda Rodriguez, Ruben Jr. and his wife, Donna, Rosalyn Gonsalez, Valerie Lopez and husband, Chris, and David and his wife, Tracy; grandchildren: Tristen Hamilton, Tarin Guevara, Aaron Guevara, Trey Gonsalez, Christian Gonsalez, Roman Gonsalez, Caitlin Gonsalez and Rylan Gonsalez; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Sulema Yturralde and Linda Lyons.
Memorial contributions may be made to fund of your choice at the Carlsbad Foundation, 114 S. Canyon St., Carlsbad, NM 88220. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.

I am looking for any information regarding my Grandfather Francisco Gonzalez, he was married first to Sylvia J. Cardenas and then to Maria Romero?. He has many children (Guillermo, Frank, Sylvia, Diana, Rodolfo, Javier, Tony, Marianne, Cindy, Jessida, Frankie) I'm not sure of the childrens birthdates but I believe they start around 1955. You have quite a search on your hands! Your father has a fairly common name, so the search might prove daunting if you don't have additional information.

Rootsweb is generally used to track ancestors (dead people) so if you know the names of his family elders and where they lived, that could be of assistance. Here on the Rootsweb message boards you might like to go to the state and county you last saw your Dad and post a message on that board, and post a message on the Gonzalez board, too. There are many message boards and web sites that might help you in your search.

First, I would try anywho.com to do a phone directory search, starting with the area that you last knew he was living. There are bound to be many people with the same name, so you might have to make lots of phone calls, but anywho often lists the age of the person along with the phone number, so that might narrow down your search a bit.

For example: I did find a Luis M Gonzalez listed on the Las Vegas, Nevada Marriage Index - married Karen R. Raskin of Nevada on 27 Apr 1994. (Please understand that this is probably NOT your Dad - this is just one of many avenues of search.) Then I looked on http://www.anywho.com/ and found 7 Luis M Gonzalez names living in or near Las Vegas, so it would take a lot of phone calls to weed through the names to find the correct one.

I am looking for information on my great Grandfather Francisco Gonzalez. He had children with Monserrate Carattini. I was told that they were no married, so my grandfather took her last name. My grandfather is Rafael Carattini who married Alberta Rios Carattin. They had 13 children.

Where was your relative from? I too am looking for my mother's relatives but have zero to none info. She was an illigitimate daughter of Dora Gonzalez. Dora had another daughter, Elida Gonzalez. Dora died when the girls were little. Elida stayed with her father's mother, Librada Villarreal. Librada's son was Felipe Villarreal. My Aunt doesn't know very much but she was told that her dad's name was Franciso Villarreal. I found a census record for Librada but her son's name was Felipe from Brownsville, TX. Consuelo A. Gonzalez (La Jefita) beloved mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2011. She was born in Smeltertown June 8, 1927. She is preceded in death by mother Nicolasa Alvarado, son Arturo Gonzalez. She is survived by daughter Christina G. Alarcon, sons Jose Luis Alvarado, Rene, Samuel, Alfredo, George William & Aurelio Gonzalez. She leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 form 6-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at El Paso Mission Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at Guardian Angel Church at 10 a.m. Wed. Feb. 9, 2011. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. She was deeply loved & will be greatly missed.
