Hi I come off the Hawk and Gould side. I do have a lsot Perrin that somehow ties into Hawk, Gould and Gearhard side of the family.
The Perrin of what I know of, they lived in Springfield, Clark Co., Ohio and later moved to Cinniati, Hamilton Co., Ohio. I beleive that they owned a photo shop in Springfield. Their is a big headstone in the New Carlisle Cemetery, on the Perrin. I do have a Thomas Gould b 1875 m to Helpburn. It looks like maybe the Perrin is related to my Gould or Hawk side of the family.

Thank You
Kay Grosnickle

Hi, Thanks for catching my error. You are correct. Andrew's parents were Thomas Perrin and Martha Savery, and his grandparents were Thomas Perrin and Jerusha Porter. Guess I had a brain freeze when writing that message. I haven't been on this site for awhile, but am still interested in finding the marriage info for Andrew and Abigail.

My family is the Goulds and Pierces from Bridgeton/Gouldtown, NJ...My great great grandfather was James Pierce, born around 1850, he was mulatto (his father Dutch and Scottish) and his mother was classified as negro...from what I know, the Goulds and the Pierces lineage is Dutch and Scottish.

Gould in Bedminster

Interested in working out whether there is a link between my 4xg grandmother Elizabeth, born in Withycombe Somerset c 1776. Based on location and age she could well be an Elizabeth Gould christened that year. I know her as Elizabeth Pyne married to my ancestor Jospeh Pyne a blacksmith woring in Weston in Gordano. They had chirldren there in the early 19th century.

There were I know lots of Goulds in Withycombe, Elizabeth if she were a Gould was the daughter of a Malachi Gould and Anne Glasse.

Another possible coincidence is the presence of a George Gould, also a blacksmith born in Bedminster c 1823.

Just possible that if he is related to Eloizabeth that might explain the common occupation of him and Joseph.

All very circumstantial but can anyone pin down George G from Bedminster and whether his family originated in Withycombe too?

The marriage record of Joseph Pyne and Elizabeth has continued to elude me

Jeremy

Edward K. Gould, Rockland, Maine (1892)

I have no connection to this family, but found this while doing other research. This appeared in the Aug. 30, 1892 issue of the Rockland (Maine) Courier-Gazette in an article entitled “People Talked About – Well Known County Men Now Before the Public.”

“Edward K. Gould – Republican Nominate for Register of Probate – Edward K. Gould was born in Rockland, Sept. 28, 1865. Educated in the public schools also graduate of the Rockland Commercial College. Studied law with True P. Pierce and was admitted to the Knox County bar in 1888. In April 1889 was chosen City Solicitor, serving two terms with eminent credit. Was chosen Secretary of the Rockland Loan and Building Association which office he still retains. Is an active member of the Sons of Veterans being chosen Commander of the Maine Division in 1896. Was made editor of the Atlantic Vidette in 1890. Is well known as a Memorial Day orator. Mr. Gould was married Sept. 24th 1891 to Fannie W. Dennis, daughter of Henry Dennis of Portland. He is eminently qualified for the office to which his party have nominated him.”

My partner is a direct descendant of John Andrews. We have quite a bit of information about the Andrews family of Mangrove Creek, however do not know much about John Andrews.

Prior to Jane Andrews marrying Philip Gould Jane Andrews had a child to a John Andrews. Their Child was born in 1834 in Cookes River, NSW. It is believed that when John Martin (Son) was a small boy his father drowned in Cookes River. After this tragedy Jane Andrews and John Martin Andrews moved to Gundel. I know they eventually settled in Mangrove Creek, but I am not sure if this was before or after meeting Philip Gould.

I would be greatful for any information at all in relation to John Andrews senior. We know he arrive in Australia abt 1832? but would like to have any information about where they lived in England. Nor sure if he travelled as a free imigrant or was in fact a convict.

Found in Currituck, North Carolina the tombstone of Emerson Gould. It was mostly buried and I dug it up and was able to lift it up for photographing. The largest flat stone I have ever photographed, in its broken off state about 48" wide and 36" tall following is the transcription"
Sacred
to the memory of inestable
departed worth
to unrivaled exelence and virtue
EMERSON GOULD
whose remains are deposited here
and whose etherial part he became separated
September 1, 1823
in the 29th year of his age.
According to the Currituck County Cemetery book listing of this Cemetery there are children of Emerson & Melissa Gould also in this cemetery, but it was so grown up in briar thick under growth that I couldn't find any of them
I am going to try to attach a photo of this tombstone but if I am not successful you may email me at sesdvs@hotmail.com and I will send it to you or faster way is go to Currituck County genealogy homepage, it will be under cemeteries and a photo will be there shortly.
I hope this will be helpful to some of you.
Judy Merrell Brickhouse

My grandmother spoke of her mother, Geogianna Gould. She said she was a twin.Stories with time change. I found Georgianna Gould, daughter of Ira son of Nathan, son of John and then it stops. I am tring to find her stories. Either her father (Cobb) or mother came from lumber. She also spoke about her Aunt Lou Stuart Wadsworth that I can not find. Anything would be welcomed. Thank you. Lee

Can anyone provide insight into Charles Eugene Gould, born Michigan in 1876 to Jerome & Mary (Graham) Gould. Married Dora Parker in Michigan and had two children: Mary, born 1899 and Jerome, born 1905 and I believe died in July, 1968 in Michigan.
Charles moved to California and died in Los Angeles 12/22/1955 and was my wife's father's uncle. Charles Eugene may have married twice but his first wife for sure was Dora Parker.
I recently sent in an application for approval for my husbands side, it had been approved previously up to Bertha Gould, through Mary Oldham's lineage, not Brewster, because there is a good possibility he was dead when George Brewster was born.(still trying to figure out where the Bradley came from) someone found an article where her husband had filed a libel claim against her for leaving and eloping with a Sylvanus Hall in Boston 2 months after she married Job and that was renewed for 2 more years until 1828, Mayflower Society claims he died in 1828.the lineage line is GS#83124(MA#11922) Lydia Morton Brewster, George Bradley Brewster, Mary Oldham, Chandler Oldham, Elizabeth Chandler, John Chandler, Elizabeth Delano, Elizabeth Standish, Alexander Standish, Myles Standish. this line is in the Alden Kindred Society through to Chandler Oldham. Are you a member of Ancestry, if not i think you could still view my tree, through another site that Ancestry lets you or if I give you permission, it is public anyway. my tree is Barbieri, Leary tree.

Hi, I am the granddaughter of Nelson Pierce. Who is from Vineland, NJ. Please respond to this. I will fill you in on more information about my grandfather soon.

Just would like to let you know how I stumbled upon this information about our family. About a year ago, my husband & I was having discussions about African American history. Unbeknown to me, he had done some research of his own. One day as I was looking in the "Favorites", I came across a link opening up an article from Ebony Magizine, 1952. There were pictures of familys & people, white & black. But when I saw a picture of a little girl playing with her doll in a cradle, I noticed that the little girl had an eirey resemblance to my daughter who is the same age as the little girl looked in the article. Reading on, the article read that the cradle was at that time over 250 years old and belonged to George T. Pierce family for 6 generations. Pierce line began with marriage of 2 West Indian brothers to their Dutch indentured servants.
After seeing this, I was floored! My mom, Elsie Harriet Pierce have been telling me this same story since I was a child. To be quite honest with you, I didn't believe when she would say we were Dutch. I know our family was originally from the West Indies. This whole this is a lost treasure to me! I know that the rest of our family will be excited to meet you. I know that I happy that I am able to share this with my daughter to make take pride in who she is & where she came from. What a beautiful reconnection! God bless you & our family. Thank you & don't forget to write soon! :)
My name is Neil Gould and I live in Milford, MA. Lewis and Lydia are my great grand parents. My father is William A. Gould, son of Horace C. Gould (brother of Ida), son of Lewis and Lydia. I did a little research a few years ago. I got a lot of good information from Barbara. She sent me a copy of her application for membership to the Society of Mayflower Descendants. Do you know if it was ever approved? My brother Michael visited her a few years ago.
When I looked through the Census records it seems like everybody worked at the Cordage works. About ten years ago I was in Mystic, Ct and they had a building there that was once part of the Plymouth Cordage Works. I felt a little sentimental walking through it.
