My Grandmother Martiniana Grajeda (maiden last name Renteria) was born in Santa Rosalia Chih Mex and married my grandfather Gumercindo Grajeda in Santa Rosalia in 1926. Is there any relation?

I am reseraching my father's last name of Grajeda which at times has been spelled as Grajida, Grajada, Grahada, and de grahada. My
grandfather's name was Teodoro Grajeda born in 1888 married to Guadalupe Rodriguez and lived in Laredo, TX.. My Great grandfather's name was Manuel Grajeda born 1854 married to Dorothea Bustamante and later to Inez Zamora and his father Calletano or Caletawo Grajeda born in 1810 married to Guadalupe Sanchez , I don't have any other information on when Calletano may have died or where he is buried or who his parents were.. I really want to go a little further in my research. Anyone have a Great Great Great Grandfather named Caletawo or Calletano from MX?

hi i think we may be related since my great grandfather he was also whiteish, light colored eyes. he was born in the early 1900's. my grand father was born in the 1940's he took after his mother more short and darker but my dad and his siblings also my sister are light of skin. so we might be related in some ways. they are from Buenavista de Canedo, jalisco. My mom,from ameca, and dad both moved to south lake tahoe,CA. Most of the rest of my grajeda family are light skined.

Hey, all. My name is Sergio Grajeda. I was born in L.A. and raised in Bakersfield. My dad was Rubén Grajeda and he was born in Trojes, Michoacán. His parents (my grandparents) were Alfredo Grajeda and Maria de Jesús Serrano, also from Michoacán. A bunch of us Grajedas live all over Jalisco (mainly the area of Cihuatlán and Ameca) and Colima (San Miguel and Armería). My mom is Ángela Jimenez and she is from Tecalitlán, Jalisco. It would be good to hear from you all other Grajedas.

Good evening Marco my name is Alec Vasquez and my grandfather is Rosalio Vasquez married to my grandmother last name Grajeda I have further information written down but not with me at the moment the reason I replied was because it all seemed relevant as far as your family being from New Mexico my father Jose Guadalupe vasquez Grajeda was born in Melrose, New Mexico my grandmother I know is also from the State of Chihuahua; My grandfather used to work for the railroad if that is of any further help.

My name is Kat and I live in SC, USA. I noticed that one of your last names is Aichinger. Some of my ancestors had the same last name. I'm assuming that it is your husband's surname. If you or him would like any info. on it I have some. May I ask, if you know where your husband's ancestors come from? I understand your English is not that good and I don't speak a bit of Portuguese, so this may become interesting. :)

We are Grajeda's in Fontana, CA....our family is from a town named Chilchota in Michoacan. I'm trying to trace back our last name...my grandfather is Jesus Grajeda and my grandmother is Juanita Romero and as far as I know both were born in Chilchota around 1916.

My grandfathers name was Julio grajeda he was born 1895, in Jalisco in a small ranch in el reparo or Santa Maria not sure. He was married to perfeta Gonzalez. His father was Spanish and his wife was from inian decent. I know they moved to michoacan Mexico. Then my grandpa stay in pacoima California with my mom. Anyone has any information about the grajeda's where they originated from?

Hey that was my Grandfather aslo, my father come from a large family he was the youngs. I was born in Chihuahua, my dad brought my whole family to California when I was 1 year olds. I remeber going to my Grandfathers ranch in Chihuahua.
Most of the Grajedas are in New Mexico.

My Father's Family came from Spain through Mexico to US. Father was Eulalio H Grajeda, born in El Paso Texas,. Here is alittle info I have found out about our ancestors: come from near Seville, Spain I believe the village was Gragera,might have the spelling wrong, which is where our name comes from, the family were ship builders in fact a Dona Grajeda showed a ship to Christopher Columbus, he was considering buying before his trip to America. My family traced my mothers family back to Spain and France in the 1500 her name being MOYA all the way to current it was fun. I would love to do that with the Grajedas. Hope someone emails back.We must all be related!! :)

HI everyone, just wanted to let you know that there are Grajeda's all over Mexico. My family comes from Sonora, Mexico, I've been told that when they came to Mexico they were originally 12 brothers from Greece, they were all fishermen and went their separate ways, one of them if Celso Grajeda, he has a statue in Guaymas, Sonora Mexico, and the plaza where he is, is called "El Pescador". I don't know if we are all connected but just wanted to let you guys know what I know.

hi, my name is Erick Grajeda-Caballero, i never knew or would have imagined that there were so many Grajedas out there. I was born in Bolivia and according to my dad (Erick E. Grajeda) and my grandfather (Walter Grajeda) they were born in a town called Santivanez in the province of Cochabamba in Bolivia. we currently live in virginia. We met up with other family (grajeda) from bolivia too. My cousin told me that her aunt, while visiting Spain/Portugal saw a statue with the name Grajeda on it. I dont know of any other grajedas besides those I've met through my dad. My name is Jesus, There are many members of the Grajeda family in Chihuahua Mexico, in the northern part of mexico, bordering texas and new mexico. Our family have been there for more than 200 years, in fact there are archives of one of our relatives that signed in the declaration of independence around 1810. As far as I Know our last name comes from Spain in a location near Portugal. Maybe we came from the same branch.

My mothers father was Grajeda.My mother was born in San Jose, Ca. My mother said her father left Mexico during one of those revolutions down there because he was a Federale, he worked for the Mexican government. I remember him vaguely. He was a dark skinned short slightly built man who spoke no english.
