Re: Greer
Was browsing the board and came across your entry from Dec. 16, 2007.John C. Greer and Hannah Carolyn Davis were my great grandparents on my mother's side of the family. Perhaps we can share some information.
John was born 1863 died 1941, His father was John, born in Ireland, as you state. His mother was Anna Jane Carins, also born in Ireland.
John C. Greer married Hannah Carolyn Davis (b. 1866 in England -d.1937 in Norristown, PA) Hannah's parents were Thomas Davis and Keren Appuch Rose.
You have Matilda born Feb 1891 in your list. Her name was Mary Martha; my great aunt. Mary Martha
(d.1981)married Horace Hamill(b. 1899 - d. 1981)
Mabel T. (1887-1977) married Harry S. Walker (1888-1936)
Anna Jane Greer (25 May 1894 - 3 Sept 1972) was married on 19 March 1909 to Raymond Weand (6 July 1892 - 1 Feb 1963)
[I am named after this grandmother]
These listed are all buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Norristown, PA. (Have tombstone photos as well as other info.)
Their second child, Edith Virginia Weand is my mother. She was married on 11 Aug 1937 to Budd K. Shaulis (21 July 1915 - 20 Feb 1999)
And on and on it goes.
