hi. my ggggg grandfather james greer had a younger brother named thomas greer born about 1803 in Allegheny co., penn. Their father's name was william greer, who was born in 1754 and served in at least the war of 1812. they also had an older sister named Mary who married a Kearns. Maybe this is your Thomas? I am trying to determine william greer's wife's name. sincerely, kurt

Thomas Kearns married Mary Greer. Mary's father was William Kearns. Mary's brother was Thomas Greer B. 1807
I have a Little more information on this family becaust it runs into the Kearns line that I am working on.

Hello. Just stumbled onto this old correspondence. I am interested in any information you may have concerning the Kearns family, as I am descended from this family through my ggggg grandmother Mary Kearns, dtr of Wm? Kearns and wife of James Greer. James Greer was the son of Wm Greer, and I was not able to discover anything more along that line. So if you have any info on either of these families I would be very appreciative. Latter Day Saints has microfilm on James Greer and family and Marriage certificate of William Greer. My lineage is thru Aquilla,son of William. Hope this helps.

Hi, I was wondering if we connect in some way. My great grandfather was James Grant Greer, his father was George Alexander Greer, his father was James Henry Greerson, later switched to Greer when immigrated to Canada from Ireland. His father was William Greer(son) and either the later James or his father William had a brother Thomas Greer(son). James (later one) was also Married to Maria Amelia Grant (Scotland), called Mary. They had a daughter named Mary. I have all the info in my family tree: audreypatillo
