Hi,
In 1870, there was a 14 y/o boy named Colonel Plemings living with W. W. Greer and his family. Does anyone know where this boy came from? Was he adopted or orphaned and just taken in? He was my 3rd great grandfather and I am trying to trace his parentage. Any help would be appreciated.

Myra - I discovered this website just today, and have a question concerning Archibald Greer. We have traced our lineage back to Archibald by way of WW's son, Calvin, who came to Missouri and started our family line there in the mid to late 1800's. We would be deeply grateful for a place of birth for Archibald. We feel he may have been the first generation in American, so a port of his arrival or his original home in Ireland would also be golden to us.
Thanks in advance....John T. Greer

Hi! Do you by any chance know who Archibald greer's parent's were? I am researching William Waggoner Greer's line, through his son Robert Turner Greer. His son Andrew moved to NY many yrs ago. His descendants live on Long Island, NY,
Diane
