Guillen's from Puruandiro & Panindicuaro Michoacan

My mother's side are Guillen's from Puruandiro, Michoacan. They too are fair skinned and light colored eyes. My greatgrandmother's name was Agustina Guillen (I posted a picture of her on my family tree) born about 1885. She married Mauricio Martinez Cisneros (also posted a pic) and relocated to Mexicali and one child (now about 80 years old) is still alive and living in Ensenada.

My dad is from Zamora Michoacan, MX. His name is Jesus Guillen. We (mom) are unfortunately separated from him. My mom said his father used to own a business selling tortas as a vendor.

My maiden name is Guillen. My father was born in Michoacan and lived in Morelia and he mentioned about Villamorelos. , Several members on my father's side still live in Michoacan. We live in Southern California, not far from Los Angeles. We also have family in Houston, Tx, Belton, Tx, Arlington, Tx, and Fort Worth, Tx.

I have the begging of our last name it comes from a small family by Meyers Konversations-Lexikon - Leipzig, Germany 1842 moving the majority of the family tors France, I have found One single Guillen Family in Wales, United Kingdom, I want to suppose that they moved to Spain. 3 brothers fleet from Spain One decide to stay in the middle the other one two North and the youngest to the south,.. there is 3 big family threes that in relatively we are all the same blood line. They were Jewish by the way, the used to sell and owned a Chocolate company. =)

I'm From the Brother Guillen from the middle, Being French Decide to Move in the 1800's to Guadalajara, Jalisco used to be the biggest French community in Mexico. Now Michoacan
is a state next to Jalisco, I want to think that some relative from Jalisco Moved to Michoacan or perhaps Was Born from Jalisco, but came to the States from Michoacan

- I found in public records there is History of Guillen's in California originally from A. Guillen 1864 - California paying Taxes.

Hi! My grandfather was born in Chicago but raised in Michoacan. His Guillen lineage is from Villa Morelos, Michoacan which is near the Guanajuato border. Many of the lineage relocated to Oxnard CA area. Were far and few but yet prominent.

Sadly i do not know much about my fathers side since he left my mother when i was young, but i do know that he's from El Salvador, my father did not get his name from his father but from his mother but unfortunately i do not know her name as well, she was from Honduras.
I am proud to see other Guillen's out there, for i have only met a couple here in Virginia.

Have you tried speaking to your second cousins in Santa Ana/Tustin/Orange/Irvine? How about having Guadalupe's son/daughters contact their first cousins in ? Guadalupe's brother is Rafael Guillen...all of his sons and several daughters are alive and healthy. Feel free to attend their family or El Granjenal functions/dances. Also, go to granjenalmich.com, for other links. The Paramount family never much frequents their cousins in Orange County...but their is much history there.

Hi RNG3191, I noticed your name is Gonzales from your email address. I have both Gonzales and Guillen in my family too. The last Guillen I could track is in Taos, New Mexico in the 1840's. My Grandmother was Nieves Gonzales, her father was Francisco Gonzales b. 1866 in New Mexico and his father was Ramon Gonzales b. 1846 in New Mexico also. I will email you if that's OK.

My grandfather's name is Saurtinio Guillen,(not sure of his spelling) born in Mexico. Just know he came back and forth from Mexico and each time my grandmother was pregnant!

My mother is his daughter, Adelina Guillen she was born 1920.
